Create an Alien Orb using Cinema 4D

In this tutorial, I will show you how to recreate the AMAZING Alien Orb from Manuel Casasola Merkle of Entagma you can see here: • Blender Geometry Nodes...
Only instead of Blender, we will use Cinema 4D and MoGraph.

I urge you to follow them closely, as they do spectacular tutorials for many different platforms.

Apparently I overlooked at something and the Orb wouldn't render in the Picture Viewer. Here's what you need to do: Select the Vertex Map Tag on the Deformed sphere, and in the Attribute Manager, go to the Basic Tab, and set the Priority to "Generators" and the number to "1". I have updated the Project file in the Description.

Stunning tutorial and really the only reason the other one looks better is because its shiny. Trivial to make that happen and render it out all swishy and such.

Hi Mr. Noseman! Thank you for sharing this great tutorial! Just found it does not work in c4d 2024. The vertex map somehow cannot be generated correctly. Wondering how to fix it...

it's a known issue and Maxon is working on it. Thank you for reporting it! 2023 should work fine.

Thank you for another great tutorial. I especially appreciate your insights on which tools are most "performant". Am curious, did Bob Walmsley's "faaantasic!" rub off on you, or vice versa? I've noticed I also say it while working in Cinema, it is rather contagious.

Fantastic tutorial! Went through the steps and tried to render. It doesn't seem to render the deformation from the vertex map. Amy ideas? (basically doesn't render the vertex map shading or deformation, just a perfect sphere)

Maybe you need to turn OFF the "Visible in Render" for the "Source Sphere". Just click on the Grey Dot under the Red Dot to the right of the "Source Sphere" in the Object Manager... let me know if that works

@@noseman Thanks a lot for the fantastic tutorial. I have the same problem.I can render in "Render View" but when it comes to "Render To Picture Viewer" it doesn't work. Any ideas?
