in this Blender tutorial we will be using Eevee to create a very simple and compelling forest animation loop, enjoy Project File - gum.co/GLUyIg Patreon - / 2935057 Instagram - / ducky3d website - www.ducky3d.com
WAIT tf? blender has a built-in tree generator?? you just blew my mind why does nobody talk about this? i wasted so much time learning how to make a tree this is like landscape all over again what other secret generators are they hiding?
Just a personal preference with "Colour management" settings, I like to set it to Filmic, and then select "Very Low Contrast" and set the "sequencer" to Filmic log. Then export it to an EXR sequence (or maybe set up your FFMPEG to support ProRes encoding). Then I grade the final result in Davinci Resolve.
Instead of making a cube as your fog you can just go to world shader and add a principaled volume! Also instead of duplicating the fog cube you can parent the cube to the camera as you did for the wireframed plane info to the cube so that the cube is moving with the camera Good job by the way!
How to pick the ground area to orange in the time 6:45? I'v whatched the video so many times and I just can't figure how to select the planes in edit mode to subdivide.
Thank you, Ducky 3D. Your tutorials are all very helpful. I can't appreciate you enough. I'm learning a lot from you. Please take care and keep to help people learning.
For everyone wondering what applying scale does, all it does is reset the scale to 1:1:1. Basically saying that how it is now should be the base scaling; tells Blender that it hasn’t been scaled yet
haha, I saw this on Instagram and was honestly considering becoming a Patreon just for the tutorial, glad you could make it though, it really looks amazing, nice work!
VISUAL DON does the same thing. But he uses CINEMA 4D and AFTER EFFECTS. Lots of RU-vidrs use his repeating neon backgrounds. Cool to see that you can do this same thing in BLENDER.
you make everything seem so simple and it really is after watching these tutorials :) ive seen a very talented guy eduard_ov and i wonder if u can make someting similar like what he did in the video titled "visual madness" (i want to know how to make flickering stuff after music) can u show us something similar in the future ?
Hmm, at around 7:18, I try the displacement modifier but it disconnects the planes. So there are large gaps showing in the planes, any idea of how I can fix this?
DId anyone ever figure out a solution? Feel like this happens everytime I do a tutorial lol, I follow exactly along and somehow it's way different or gets messed up.
Just recently got into blender and your tutorials are amazing. You inspired me to start making more renders, animations and VFX so imma do that. Hopefully one day I will be as good as you (maybe better😉)
I've never actually used the collection instancer before, I never knew what it was...now I know. Before knowing this I used to duplicate or array a mesh, which supposedly slowed down the computer... so...Thanks
The location of the trees are different for when I preview the animation in the timeline to when I render it out. I've tried to apply the location of the trees, but the animation keeps crashing into the first tree. Any tips?
how do i move my items like you did because if i press g or s or anything i have to manually do it not smoothly with my mouse idk if that makes sense lol
DUUUUUUDE... im creating some stages for dance videos and your tutorials are completely insane. Generating Incredibly beautiful scenes that look like they took days to make in an hour tops.
Idk if I forgot to do something but whenever I add the displacement modifier and cloud texture the floor stops being seamless and gaps appear where the edges don’t line up. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
@@devondickson2060 I was actually wrong! You can't tile the instances. If you look closely, Ducky tiles don't tile. The quick fix is to add all vertices except for the ones in the border to a vertex group and then, in the displacement modifier select that group. Now the modifier won't affect the borders of the plane, where the instances intercept.
@@Raimundo3Dthank you. Any specific way to do a a vertex group? Just select the ones I need then right click and it’s an option or? I’ll test it once I’m home, mine were just huge bends and not connecting so hopefully this works so I can complete the tutorial. Thanks for your time and help!
@@devondickson2060 press ctrl+G after selecting the vertices to create a new vertex group. You can find the groups, UVs, shape keys, etc in the mesh tab.
I have a problem while in my animation the fog gets thicker as the loop goes on then goes back to how it started once it goes back to 0, how should I fix this?
That bothered me as well, but you could hide it by adding ferns or bushes or something all over the terrain, and place them just at the far edge of the plane, to hide the seam.
Hey Ducky. I'm having issues with the displacement map you do with the clouds at about 7:00 into the video. I subdivide, add the displacement then select clouds but when I move the strength up nothing seems to be happening. What do you think I could be doing wrong? Thanks!
2.9 doesnt seem to allow the instances to tile seamlessly , just remove the plane in the collection and substitute another plane scaled up and subdivided so that it fits the untiled instances area. You can add the displacement and cloud map so that it works seamlessly. Hope that helps.
@@Euterpesong I tried it but, it didnt work. Got the same result anyway :I A way was to add or dont use the same parameteres as it is showed in the video. Thanks anyways
Hey man, really good tutorial, as always.🙃. Looks like you forgot to add the water plane to the instance collection. Keep up the great work, learnt a lot from you.
Did you go into the preferences add ons and type in 'tree', then enable the 'curves to trees' add-on? If so, are you trying to add the tree from under the 'curves' option, rather than under the mesh option? Those are my guesses.
hi if you have time, could you make a tutorial about mechanical stuff, an "explainer animation of a product" I am a mechanical engineering student and really want to present our design with a proper animation something like fluid flow through pipe / pump , fluid that contains particles that we want to catch the particle, moving gear and so on thank you so much, I am new in blender, thank you so much, because my software can not do that

Thank you very much for your tutorials! I have learned a lot about Blender with you! Keep it up!
