We will be using the Flatsome Theme to make an ecommerce website and build an online store using wordpress in this video tutorial to show you how to use the flatsome theme to make an a professional ecommerce website.
This video will allow anyone to build an online store from scatch using the Flatsome Theme and Wordpress drag and drop page builder.
The first thing we'll do is get our hosting and domain and then install WordPress and the Flatsome theme.
With the Flatsome theme you will be able to create your own ecommerce website from scratch, we'll be able to use pre-built professionally designed templates that we can customize.
From there, we can create our entire online store and sell any type of products you want.
The website will be powered by Woocommerce which will make the website fully functional and running and can accept any type of payment you want.

Wow, thank you for showing how to tame the Flatsome thing! Having already worked with WC, I was uncertain and a bit reluctant about using Flatsome. After watching this tutorial I am 100 % confident that WC / Flatsome is the perfect combination for my current project, and very likely for the next ones too! Hallo NYC, thank you for the great video. I have a question to you. On my page under the header I have a selection with a slider and various banners where pictures are stored. Hi, I followed some of your tutorials about Flatsome, and others, and I couldn't find a way to customize the My Account pages with Flatsome. They are really ugly by default and contain unwanted pages. What is your advice for that? Can you make a video about that?

Which plugins do you install for taxes when customer are puchasing their items? Some are suggesting "WooCommerce Shipping & Tax" which then requires you to make a Jetpack account. Some people feel its more so bloatware and are having issues with the accuracy for specified locations within USA. Any feedback on this or something better?

Hi! Is it okay to use the one time usage of my flatsome theme on my staging site? I will later on migrate the staging site to my Domain. I wonder if the theme will still be migrated without consuming the one time usage?

the license can be deactivated on the staging site for your new site and you only really need the license activated for updates and to access the demo content and templates. so migrating will be fine and then just move the license over to the new site after its running and it will have you remove the prior license.

As for wordpress plug-ins, should I fear my site crashing in regards of using flatsome theme? I notice Dokkan gives issues for some people.

Your site shouldn't crash with flatsome as long as you keep wordpress updated along with all plugins like woocommerce. I wouldn't use Dokkan just based on my own personal experience but I know some people recommend it. If you are looking to build an ecommerce website, there's lots of good options.

@NYCTECHCLUB what didn't you like about dokkan? Have any other alternative suggestions? I remember bumping into one that plug-in in aliexpress dropship vendor items and directly linked everything so when a sale happen it automatically let the vendor know. I forget their name 🙉

you are using the flatsome slider module correct? have you updated the theme, wordpress and also made sure you have the latest php running?

What do you think of the siteground for hosting and domain?

I think it's okay. I used to recommend them more and used them in the past. Of the ones that are popular, I think price wise it's all about the same. I personally would recommend Hostinger based on my own experience but Siteground is better than other options. If you want to get hosting and a domain you can get a free domain with a year plan with Hostinger hostinger.com/super10 but use what you are most comfortable with!

@@nyctechclub any opini9n on Astra Theme and Elementor Pro vs Flatsome and it's UX Builder. Elementor looks so good, but that annual subscription is quite annoying. I am not a web developer and only want to make 1 site for my become business. Would you recommend it over flatsome? Had any experience with it?

@NYCTECHCLUB Thank you. Would you recommend any CRM or email marketing tool for flatsome / ecommerce to research? I am a branded new small fashion business. Would you recommend doing this later? I fear a lot of the "free" options companies offers will lock me in to paying for upgrades once I get more subscribers/clients. If I dislike their service, is it easy to transfer into a new company?

@@MrVuittonDon ive tried a few: constant contact, aweber, leadpages, mailchimp. I think mailchimp was my favorite but they all probably make you upgrade at some point but for mailchimp I think it depends on the size of your email list and by the time you have to upgrade I imagine it will be worth it. check those options out. for flatsome integration I think it depends on the plugin and if you are using wpcontact form plugin to collect emails then you can integrate it with constant contact, aweber and mailchimp. I will likely start using mailchimp again and make a new tutorial on it soon....I dont know if there's better out there right now...sometimes there is but for now those are my thoughts. and yes you can always export the list and move to another company with your list.
