Learn how to create an ISO image of your windows c: drive. If a re-format is needed, you can quickly role back to this iso image and be right back to where you were when you created your system snap shot.
As a special interest of mine, I have totally restored, enhanced and modernized Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. After watching your two videos, I found and downloaded the personal version of version 9 of the partition backup software that you were using. Each of their aforementioned operating systems' backup and restore software fell short of doing a full partition backup and restore due to my advanced operating system modifications. The software that you are using turned out to be a complete answer to all of my backup and restore related issues. For months, I was hoping to eventually run into something that would be fully effective like that and, thanks to you, I finally have. It works perfectly and I'm going to purchase that specific version of it because it even accommodates Windows Millennium. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. God bless you and shalom, Ralph
This tutorial saved my bacon! My system became corrupted and i couldn't get into my OS. I happened to use Paragon as my back up already. I followed both parts 1 and 2 of your guide, and am now back up and running. Phew. Clear, concise, informative and confidently done. Many thanks for this!
With the help of this video I created the image of C/: drive on an external WD 500 GB "Passport" Drive and the boot CD with Paragon 2013. The original C:/ drive was generating error messages, so today I installed the backup on a new C:/ drive. It was just necessary to follow the on-screen prompts and it worked nearly perfectly - "nearly" because the new C:/ drive did not recognise the connected scanner on 1st boot-up, but it picked it up when I re-booted. Now looks perfect - just like before.
FYI: Win 7 has pretty decent backup functionality built in. Everything you need is in the Control Panel, under 'System and Security'. It's a simple, painless and effective way to back up your data and only takes a few clicks.
about every month I have to reset to f/settings....reload everything...and two days later it bottlenecks. I dont have big progarms or files ....so can you recommend a thinning out for a all in one touch screen pc. Are you or have you any up to date vids on overclocking graphics cards
PS The hardest bit was getting the old drive out of the computer and getting the new one in; both back-up and restore were easy. Restoration (copying) to the new drive took nearly two hours, but once it's started, it does everything on its own without further input.
Of course, there isn't any need to download anything to do this, since Windows 7 has all the tools needed to accomplish this same task built in (even the home versions). It may not create an .iso specific image, but an image nontheless. It can be restored with the restoration boot CD/DVD, which can also be created from Windows 7.
Plat Oxia well, I’ve been receiving an error every time I try to make a system image using the first party tools, so that’s why I am using third party...
The download link appears to no longer exist along with the program. I just got a copy of backup recovery free to test in place as I need to do something similar for my desktop and laptop given the number of times I have to reformat.
thx, but i wanted to know if i could back up my vista OS on my netbook to use on other pcs (the netbook came with vista on it but no backup CD becuase it doesnt have a disc drive, but i have a external one for it.)
Thanks for this helpful video! At the 6:46 mark, why did you only select "Local Disk (C:)" instead of "Basic Hard Disk 0" ? Don't you want to back up everything on the hard disk?
Hey guy I want to know how to make a iso bootable image of Windows 7 recovery partition.I need the extra space the recovery partition is using.Windows use to include a Windows OS disk but now all they do is partition the hard drive.I would copy a Windows 7 disc but if I ever have to recover my entire computer the recovery partition has a bunch of special drivers built in with the Windows 7 that work on my computer only. Thanks for any info.
I would like you to upload a video on how you separate the data from the drive where the operating system is installed, (C:) Thank you. Congratulations very good video.
what if you create a backup of your OS and your documents? can you still back up your operarting sysetm on a different computer build with all your documents?
Hi rtbuell... another question if you'd be so kind! I noticed on the video that you chose to back up only "Logical Disc (C:)" and left the MBR unchecked. Now I understand that for most backups this would be ok, but what if the MBR becomes corrupted? Would you have to repair it with the original Windows install disc and then proceed to back up afterwards? I guess I'm just being paranoid! haha.. thanks in advance.
can the backup (.pbf files) be in the Rescue CD instead of external HDD ?? ....actually i dont have external removable HDD.So,can the Rescue CD itself be the complete backup disk ??....i mean,is it possible that all OS backup is in the Rescue CD & the Rescue CD itself boots and restores my OS ??........
ISO's are basically a virtual disk or like dvds or cds just in digital format so u dont need to burn the information to an actual disk but if to choose to burn this ISO image to a disk you can use theses programs imgburn or Ultra ISO imgburn is free to use
first of all thank u a lot for the video. Now,Paragon creates .pbf file n the same gets written on CD/DVD,so will my pc boot up from a .pbf file instead of .iso file??Also if C drive gets corrupted then how the .pbf will get detected coz paragon is installed in C drive & its corrupted......please reply early i m waiting & thanks in advance.............
I am using windows 7 and there aren’t any different using this software and using windows system image creator which also allows creating a bootable system recovery disk. And I don’t see any ISO after creating the image, there are some files same as windows system image creator.
Well great work done ,but it doesn't create an "ISO image" as you mentioned rather a PBF file. I tried to backup my C drive n restore its image onto D drive using d above mentioned method. While booting however i did not see options for 2 diff OS(as we see usually. Does that mean i went wrong somewhere in the process? Please reply,i am eager to know the reason. Thanks in advance.
Adam, tell me please, I'd like to create live cd/dvd or usb from existing (my workable) Windows XP Pro SP3, do you know how can I do it, other words I want to get after my manipulation live iso image, do you know how can I do it?

Hmmm, old video and..... well you can NOT get a working version of 9.0 anymore. And it does not create an ISO, it just creates a folder with the backup files in it. He is just showing how to make a DVD recovery disc, NOT and ISO!!!!!!!!
