Thank you so much for sharing. I spent two days now trying to figure out how I can make my digital OneNote planner the way I want them to look. Your Seven videos problem solved👍🏽
Super.. very nice video. Now I get all excited and would like to know how I can do a complete digital calendar with a monthly overview and tabs to click to the weekly pages and then from the weekly pages to the daily pages. Can this be done with Onenote? PDF are all set up already but I have no idea how I can link them to work as a full iPhone calendar that can be edited from a PC without having an iPad otherwise GoodNotes5 would be the way to go
Hi Liliane, if you buy or make a full, linked pdf planner and import it into OneNote the links do not stay intact. However, you don't need to have a pdf to use OneNote as a planner. You can write, type or paste right on the blank pages. If you are interested in a full OneNote planner, I have a livestream series where I host people who create planners specifically for OneNote showing their planners: ru-vid.com/group/PLKKHp6G26GclAe2CS-PVA1-Ehfl1S_06Z I hope that helps! ~Michele
I am finding with my excel calendar once put into OneNote the size is not retained to how I have set it in excel using the Page Layout - Page Setup. I set to Landscape and it is showing as portrait in OneNote. Any advice? Thank you in advance
I've done a workaround, seems the whole PDF showing as portrait is a common problem. I used the Insert - Screen Clipping option in OneNote instead and then 'set picture as background'. Did the trick! :-)
Hi Steph, I am assuming you are talking about saving your Excel sheet as a pdf as I describe in the video. (If you are talking about putting an Excel sheet right into OneNote, then I am not sure). Here are a few ideas to try: Format your calendar fully in Excel so that it looks like it would print properly on a landscape piece of paper (use the print preview to check it). Then when you export it as a pdf, the formatting should stay the same (i.e. if you were to print the pdf it would print properly on a landscape piece of paper). When you insert your pdf, it should show up correctly in OneNote. If this doesn't fix your problem, you can ask in the OneNote Bullet Journal Facebook group (I saw your request, and will add you when I add the next group today or tomorrow). Also, if you find another solution I would love if you could leave a follow up comment so I can know the answer! Thanks, Michele
Thanks for this tutorial, Michelle! I had the same results as Steph and I found that if you change the orientation to portrait on excel (even PPT), it fixes the view on OneNote.
Hi Brutus, You can definitely create a digital planner in OneNote but I don't have a template or specific process at this time. You can create any kind of page you want, store them all in a single notebook and link them which might give you a good start toward making a planner. ~Michele
I use OneNote for Windows 10 on a pc. This version is also known as OneNote UWP (Universal Windows Program) or simply "OneNote." What version are you using and on what device? You should be able to add a pdf in other versions too. ~Michele
Hi Anne-Marie, What version of OneNote are you using and on what device? Once you have added the pdf, if you are on a Windows PC the right click should work so if you don't see it I'm not sure why. ~Michele
Hi Rod, great question! I don't know why I didn't think of including that... 😮I did just test print the Excel file I use to create my monthly calendar directly from Excel to OneNote and it worked well. It added the calendar in png form inside of a text container, and when I set the calendar as background the only difference I noticed was that the edges of the document didn't show. I think I was focusing on pdf documents because they are so common. ~Michele
Thanks for the feedback. I just edited the description to call attention to the chapters so people can skip ahead if they want, and I will continue to try to make sure I deliver what a person expects when they click on the video. ~Michele
