Yeah this guy explains things pretty poorly. There are a couple important things he just says but doesn't explain how. I had to go to another tutorial.

I made it up to 4:20. When I select my text layer and my shape 1 layer, and move them forward in the timeline, this does not change the timing of when the text comes in vs the white box. I want the white box to start coming together before the text comes together but no matter when I move them on the timeline, they still animate at the same time. Help.

It's a good tutorial because it's to the point and doesn't waste your time. Unfortunately, he doesn't explain what he's about to do before he does it, so people aren't ready for the next few steps. Thanks for making it though!

Great video! Now, I’d like to change the text in the animation by only changing the name in one place, rather then on every separate layer. I’ve seen this done before on presets I’ve used, how does that work?

Hey man, I really appreciate what you are doing for the design and video community. However, I just need to say that this tutorial was very fast and extremely hard to follow as somebody who is new and needs to watch tutorials. Things that needed to be explained were left out and it left me more confused about the process. With that being said, I dig your videos and appreciate these tutorials.

Your second lower third's movement looks like it has a curve on the keyframes to make it speed up as it moves. You seem to have skipped that part- how's this done? Thanks!

How do you click and drag to move the entire mask like you did at 3:20? I tried to do it on my project but it is only moving one specific corner of the mask, and not the entire box EDIT: I figured it out. You need to have MASK PATH highlighted in order to move the entire mask, and not just on specific point. SECOND EDIT: Both MASK PATH and MASK EXPANSION NEED TO BE HIGHLIGHTED
