Just wait until Horizon Worlds is expanded to the UK, everyone will be coming here for instructional videos. and views will skyrocket. Keep up the good work!
Pffff… I just wanted to add some snow that would be visible from my window but this is incredibly complicated I’m not sure I can dedicate this much time to do something this simple 😢
Thanks for this! My goal is to create a point in the world where spheres get spawned (??) once per second. Each time a sphere appears, it drops and rolls down a hill. Might you have a link to something that described how to do this? cheers!
In that case you will want to use launch from object: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9XgW25dYisQ.html Unfortunately they aren't efficient like projectile launchers, so you can only have a few of them before your capacity meter runs out. Check out "Ruler of the Hill" in Horizon for the upper limits of what is possible ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gAmiLR6NTaU.html Basically this rain doesn't have to worry about physics like bouncing off objects so you can have a ton of them. Having physical objects that roll is a bit taxing on the frame rate. Good luck and thanks for watching!
perhaps I can ask another question... I see that I can make a bar of steel using "Cube" and stretching it to the length I want. No problem. But what if I want the bar of steel to be curved? Is there a way to take a rectangular solid and turn it into a curved shape? thanks again!
Sadly no way to do this, but you can pull out a curved object and try to "make it work" ... definitely won't be perfect, but will be closer... also check the shapes tab of the asset library for more shape options.... There is a way to skew objects too... but that doesn't curve them... To skew you group with a cube that is pointing at it in the direction you want to skew. Zoom in and delete the cube. Then stretch the grouped single object to see interesting results. If you aren't seeing much happen, after stretching zoom in and try rotating the object, it will behave wildly... Takes a lot of practice to get good at skewing... :)
Hey, I spent hours and hours yesterday trying to figure out how to make it look like the water is moving. I'm making a beach world and it would be nice to make the ocean move back and forth. But I can't drag it in record and move it smoothly enough.. any ideas?
Thank you so much for asking, I'd like to invite you to join our Discord server, where you can ask questions like this, and even promote your worlds, we've got a great community, and would love to have you there! 🙂 discord.gg/v6hcQ9DtDv
I think moving little too fast hard to keep catch up with you and also I wish to get into point not off point because not important in my opinion. It take forever to make it
Bingo! I've tried this 4 times and it keeps failing because I can't tell what is being moved because it goes so fast and isn't on the screen long enough to identify
Sorry about the jerkyness, VR is really hard to capture :/ Sensei_Jay our other teacher has a new breakdown video that should be out in the next week that uses screenshots. Let us know in the comments if that one is better / easier to follow. Thanks again for bearing with it and sticking it out!
@@Vidyuu :) It's more that ppl get carried away and move their hands to fast, they know what they are doing and forget it's meant to demonstrate what to do rather than show 'what I can do'. :) I see it a lot in demo videos.
