I’m wanting to make a pattern with a gradient applied within. I tried the compound path action and I was able to put the gradient into the black circles of my pattern. Then I went to drag it into my swatches panel to save, and it shows the green add circle like it’s going to, but when I release my mouse nothing happens. The swatch is not saved. Can you tell if this video was just to demonstrate adding a gradient to a fixed pattern box, or to a pattern itself so that the gradient also repeats? I’m trying to figure out how to make a repeat pattern with a gradient that also repeats and I can’t find any help. Thank you.
