yeah this generator is nice ...that i like... you use abelteon 10 and this generator is a plugin? or can i run this genrotr standalone?! hmmmm brings new easy ideas for me... if i could use two generators like a dj deck 1and two? i only wanna have most minimal mobil decks to make beatz ...most programs to overloaded and complicated for me.. i have a native machine mk 1 but to install it an make it run....sorry i dont wanna study the rest of my liife tuts how to run this thing.... but this software generator is easy... i want this as hardware
The Ableton Handle makes all these generators obsolete. Select and drag for even distribution. You can squeeze notes together or drag them out over a few bars.
omg i've been procrastinating on doing this manually and haven't been able to gather the skills to play it with all my limbs!! massive time saver thank you!
Whoa, this was sure a hidden gem? :D And to hear you talk about techno rhythms.. very very nice, hehe. Gonna get this device for sure. Spanx Will! /Jono the hobo
Ah I’m so pleased you found it my friend! I really do like this device and they’re onto their V2 device which has a little bit more control and mapping capabilities too!
I'd really like a tut about minimal techno/house beats. I like the really hypnotic beats but find it hard to get the right groove and keep the interest. Thanks.
You've really got to use different time sigs like 5, 7 etc. Then make sure the steps are mostly equal multiples of said count. Then double or half different voices, use parallel swing across voices, make sure accents are different. Every time I open this plug it provides gold. 100% of the time.
@@afi6061 just make ure groove sweet, in texture and rythmic placements, for me u dont need complicate signature tempo, its just fluidity in the placements and textures that make the rythmic groove catchy and entertaining
wow saved me days of home work ,, thanks Will, download the Saba Clara stuff , just had to bang the fancy metro on top w a missing button , OMG , awesome
@@WillHatton and I thought taking apart the quantizer was cool,, in pulses alone it goes from waltz to 4 with the turn of a dial , and the Roman numerals, chord changes in key and mode, my brain is melting ,, Im going to peal these apart and stuff them in my modeling synth ,, posting on reddit max MSP under Rustin geezer if your interested ,, thanks again
@@WillHatton Just posted current jam , timing test I have to use the module on a side page for now , does not copy over due to some node script issues, throws off a millisecond , I my little Mac air ,needs upgraded and I need Ableton and Mira , and newer iPad to get this tight, off to work fixing houses to trade for technology , Thanks again
Hey man can I sequence external hardware gear with this device? For ex one rhytm for my minilogue Xd and one for My elektron Machinedrum mixed together ? Or is just for ableton built in sounds?
No I don’t think! Alternatives that spring to mind would be to set up 2 tracks (one for the input of the Minilogue and one for the Elektron) and on one set a gate with a certain sequence and another gated sequence on the other track, this would create a polyrhythm or the two. Another work around (and a quicker one) would be to just sample a pulse/note of each of them and then put that into Abletons sampler as a oneshot and allow the Euclidean sequencer to do the rest! I hope you achieve what’s in your head regardless!
May be a dumb question but in the "Musical example THREE" where you trigger the clap samples in drum rack with the Euclidean midi device rythmics, the 4 oscilators from the Euclidean trigger the notes/pads from Drum Rack that you set as the "Key" button in each oscilator from the device right? Hence the max amount of sounds always gonna be 4? Thanks man in advance, great stuff!
Hey bud! Thanks for the subscription! In this example the max sounds would be 4 yes! But since this video was made the guys that made the Euclidean Rhythm Generator created a MK2 which I believe can be chained to an infinite amount of sounds!
More musical ideas are most welcome Will. I'm looking into using arpeggio generators to find new melodies. Enjoy the festive end of this year, and all the best for you and your channel in 2021!
