Keralis is fully going into trains and building swings, Tango is building a factory that produces everything, Bdubs is making cool transport systems, Zedaph is experimenting with transport and using the other hermits as test subjects and finally, Scar is essentially playing Vanilla Minecraft but having a whale of a time 😂

i love that scar doesn't bother learning what most of the blocks do, just enjoys how they look and makes something beautiful with them. He is the architect to Tango's engineering.

19:16 The block you're looking for to make the doors rotate is a mechanical bearing - this will let you superglue the door together and spin it around an axis. You will also want to hook up a sequenced gearshift to it as well, as that will let you easily control the exact angle the doors open up to, add a delay, and then close them after. I imagine just those two blocks (mechanical bearing, sequenced gearshift) and some detector rails to detect the enter/exit will suffice! You can also make some controller rails if you want - they are the same as powered rails, but different redstone strengths (analog lever is perfect to test this) will set the minecart to different speeds. Great to make the minecart zip around a track, but slow down upon entering/exiting a station.

For the doors, use mechanical bearings or mechanical pistons to turn or push the doors, along with a sequenced gearshift to turn it 90 degrees or push a certain number of blocks out of the way. You could use redstone links as wireless redstone and open the doors that way

Hey Scar, remember the Item Vaults you used in your build? That's what you use them for, storage! You can Ponder to see how they work, but in general it's best to use them for bulk storage, or with a lot of brass funnels for filtering..

Hey Scar, a fun part about your moving house is that you can set the rail under ground and have a single block clip through the ground to create a immersive effect of the wheels doing the work. You may have that planned already, but just in case you didn’t and wanted to bump it up a notch I figured I’d mention it. Beautiful work as usual!

To make your doors move outward, you can put each one on top of a mechanical bearing, which is used to rotate structures (also make sure to glue each door). Also I suggest looking into the "sequenced gearshift", which can be programmed to control rotations and activates on a redstone pulse, which could come from a detector trail. Btw your builds for this series have been amazing and I can't wait to see where this goes for you

So Copper pipes carry fluids (Milk, Liquid Chocolate, Water & Lava) item vaults are bulk expandable storage that can only be accessed via chutes/funnels

hi scar! i don't know if you'll see this, but i wanted to say you're probably my favorite minecraft creator! i make sure to never miss an upload of yours =) that being said, i have an auditory processing disorder which makes it especially hard to understand videos sometimes, especially in multiplayer videos. captions would make your content a lot more accessible to people like me or people with other hearing issues, because auto captions aren't always super accurate and can be kind of distracting since they're always moving! however, i know it's extra work to do captions, so whether or not you implement this feature, you're still my favorite, and i appreciate everything you've done. thank you for inspiring me! keep creating like you do best! =)

Hi, For the advice you asked on making the Doors move, you should check the mechanical bearing and the sequenced gearshift blocs. As for how to use them, I recommend that you open JEI and press "z" while having your mouse on one of them. Pro tip : that also work with nearly all the create mod blocs. Scar, you can glue your whole chest monster together and take it with you anywhere! Just make it all part of a minecart contraption. You can definitely make those doors swing outward. You just need mechanical bearings and a sequenced gearshift to turn 90° (or whatever angle you want), wait for a redstone signal or a certain amount of time, and turn 90° the other way. Use redstone links to signal the doors remotely, even from your moving house. Make sure to glue each door together just like your house, or use a linear chassis for the "hinge." Also, you can make sand from nothing! Just generate cobblestone and grind it into gravel, then grind that again.

Just the thought of you guys making something like Aqua Town in create sounds amazing! It's going to be so fun seeing what you can do with all the new options available, especially seeing how much detail that was put into the new house for the house, which was stunning!

the doors can definitely be made to swing outwards with shafts and using a block to do precise angular movements called a *sequenced gearshift* tango used it for the catapult and keralis has his swing set up with one too

Oh the whole house (and its house) is lovely!! I hope Scar retrofits the moving house onto the Create train rail so Jellie can be its little conductor! I believe there is a block that detects when stuff moves on the rails so that could trigger the doors to move. And speaking of moving, it would be using the sequenced gearshift attached to a mechanical bearing attached to the sticky-glued up door. I can't wait to see more man, this whole server/SMP is awesome.

I would recommend using a Detector Rail and rotate the whole door when they're activated by said rail. I also like the front!

I just love how scar who still in the hand crank level of things, where as the others are fully moving at least to water wheel powered stuff and made his garage with all this cool create based things, but don't do anything but look lovely, which is great because his builds are so beautiful and fun to look at. But i still cant help but find it funny that this mod possibly could have cut down most his time needed for some of those things but choose to basically play vanilla mode plus XD

There are 2 ways to make automatic storage systems in create that I know of: one is to use mechanical arms to put things into the right chests using brass funnels with filters, and the other is to attach a bunch of toolboxes to a minecart contraption and add items to the contraption via portable storage interfaces. Both of them require a bit of setup, but Mumbo made a video about the former and Mysda made a video about the latter. Technically item vaults are also a storage block from create, but they're for big bulk storage and can only be accessed via automation.

The door in the back looks better and the solution for your chestmonster is to make it a moveable object like your house, so you can pick it up as one item. You could even build a chestmonster unloader.

Hello Scar! For your chest monster: You can make storage contraptions that you can pick up and move. It's like design your own Shulker but you also can determine the storage it has with how many barrels or chests you use. it would be built similarly to your moving house. Everything on a Minecart that you can then pick up as 1 item.

U should totally make the wheel spin!!! U could easily hide a waterwheel somewhere and connect it to the wheels

Massive doors that open on a hinge system: investigate sequenced gearshifts. Better Storage systems than a chest monster: include chests in your minecart contraption for portable item movement. Tango's create series episode 5 shows a good example of him mass-moving cobble using such a contraption.

Scar, use a sequent gearshift for the rotating doors. if you want them sliding use Bdubs gantry shaft. Make sure to glue the doors!

Hey, Scar. If you haven't figured it out, item vaults hold some ridiculous number of one item. Something stupid massive like 60 stacks per block of the item vault. You can build them 1x1x3, 2x2x6, and 3x3x9. The catch is you have to use Create blocks like chutes and funnels to put items in and pull them out.

you should put the house on train tracks, the movement and turning is more smooth and it could have automated stations. You could also control the speed and stop wherever you want, not only go the minecart rail speed and stop on stations!

Scar, in case you didn't know, in the create mod there is something called a blueprint cannon. Basically how it works is you can design in creative mode and copy the file. Set up the Canon and put the resources next it and walk away. It'll built exactly how you want

About the doors i recommend a radial chassis! If you have JEI you can search the recipe up. To learn how to use it, hovering over it & holding “w” brings up a wonderfully visual tutorial on it! If all else fails, there’s no shame in asking the other cogs. You did an amazing job! Working so hard on this lovely house for your house

Here's a cool thing about Create mod(Keralis') trains: You can make animals control them with Train Schedules, and they get a little conductor hat! You can make a Jellie-powered train!

As for the Jurassic Park gates... that can be accomplished by a detector rail (or Train Observer if using trains), redstone, a sequenced gear shift (for the 90 degree open/close), and a mechanical bearing.

This is quite literally the coolest use of the CREATE mod ever!

19:30 you already used them decoratively, those items vaults are pretty powerful bulk storage able to hold absurd amounts of a single block type, so not great for sorting everything, since they'd be so bulky to have 1 for every block, but good for preventing the "10 double chests full of cobble" problem

Use mechanical bearings to make the doors slide with a sequenced gearshift. Then use detector rails to detect when the house gets closer, and redstone links to signal the gearshift.

18:55 Scar use a mechanical bearing for rotation and a sequenced gearshift to control the rotation and delay, you could probably use some wireless redstone for detecting the house. The mechanical bearing is a very early game item, but for the others you will need some brass. you could also use the controller for opening and closing of the dors (again, wireless redstone)

Scar playing Create is honestly perfect, given how often he talks about adding movement to his builds.

Scar use mechanical bearings to rotate doors. To control rotations use sequenced gearshift. Use detector rails on both sides to detect when to open doors. Connect those rails with redstone to sequenced gearshift. Have in mind that you might need a pulse extender, to configure how long doors should be open. As a pulse extender you can use "Fader Pulse Extender", from minecraft wiki, it is quite easy to build. A cool idea would be to stop your "house", at front of the gate, then open it, and start "house" to move in. To do so, after the detector rail place a "unpowered powered rail". Put a bunch of repeaters, between redstone line from detector rail, and "powered rail". Adjust amount of repeaters to time, when you house should start moving forward.

The barn is awesome. For storage you want to set up mechanical belts made with dried kelp, and then you might want brass funnel which you can put a filter on, or items to filter. Also if you are wondering about something in create press and hold 'w' for a nice little presentation on how you can use items in create.

Scar what about a reverse drawbridge for your front doors? Look into the “Sequenced Gearshift” block. You can make the door by using superglue and that block. Bdubs showed you the wireless red stone controller… all the parts for your door are there sir! Your best option for a storage system would be a combination of chests, mechanical arms, and brass funnels with filters on them. Think like a vanilla sorting system but with a lot less hoppers.

Loved the vid! I recommend using mechanical bearings hooked up to a sequenced gearshift to make your Jurassic park doors, however the big issue I can see is going to be the minecart rail underneath, it probably would be easiest to just use a mechanical piston to move it out of the way during closing, but experiment a bit and see what works. As for sorting your chest monster, look into using the mechanical arm to put an unsorted input into a series of filtered brass tunnel outputs, if you want more than one item per tunnel, just use the dedicated filter item inside the brass tunnels filter slot. I'm excited to see where the series goes, as even now everything you and the rest of the cog boys have been up to is absolutely outstanding.

For complete and raw storage, go for storage vaults. They can only have one item and you can't directly access them, though. However, you can use them to fill up a chest and at that point you can just organise like a normal person. This isn't Applied Energistics; no ME System for you.

Keralis is the best one to help you with the doors, they might be able to open and close the same way his swing works.

I think you could put the rails for the house underground and then connect the house to the minecart using glass panes und super glue because panes are almost unobtrusive.
