Working with MongoDB Atlas can be complex because there are features that are not available in normal MongoDB on-premise installation. Thanks to MongoDB we can use atlas commandline to quickly create a local atlas deployment that can be used for testing, based on Podman.
But this is not supported on Windows, where you can use an official docker container, that has the problem that it will create another environment at each start.
In this video I'll explain how you can create a docker file that will allow you to have a fully functional MongoDB Atlas container that you can stop and start with no problem.
