How to convert a Zoom recording with two speakers into a multi-cam editing project in Descript Storyboard?
A particularly useful workflow in Descript Storyboard is to take a single video (say, a Zoom recording of an interview or meeting, where the speakers show side by side), and separate that video and use it to display each speaker individually.
This is great for changing layouts when you want to spotlight a single speaker for portions of your compositions, then show both of them, or even change your video from landscape to portrait video. You can easily turn your Zoom recording into social media clips where the speakers appear on top of each other.
In this lesson, we walk through this specific scenario and show how you can import a single video with two speakers, separate that video and assign each speaker to its own layer, then play with them any way you like.
I show a few tricks when managing sequences, scenes, audio synchronisation and captions.
