This video shows how to create an image of your signature with a transparent background using Windows 7 (or newer) and Paint.net.
Paint.net is a free utility for editing images. You can get it here:
www.getpaint.net
Once you create the image of your signature with a transparent background, you can insert it into Word (and other) documents and position it over a signature line, and the line will show through as if you actually hand-wrote the signature. You can also save it as an AutoText entry to make it quick to pop into any document, any time.

Hi Laura Hope you are ok I have just mastered your signature videos as I have always wanted to learn how you get your signature onto word docs and thanks to you Laura xx I now know how to do it and it works I followed you in every detail in all three videos, downloaded that little program so then had a go myself and wow just has you showed I am learning so much from you Laura from your other videos also, my word docs now look so much more professional and polished and now even better now I can put my signature on them, thank you so much Laura from across the pond here in England. x

Hi Ya Laura Thank you for your given reply I think I come across in the wrong way, and now looking back at my last comment sent I can see why you thought I was using your signature, What I meant to say was my signature on my docs, not your signature sorry for the confusion Laura, and many thanks to you I am now able to insert my own signature into my docs, I had no intention of using your signature Laura bless you, and now practising on some blank docs using some of your many videos, I have you on my laptop on youtube so I can stop and rewind and playback while using my desktop using word 365 in which to practice on I am so glad I found your channel and subscribed, and once again Laura thank you for your lovely reply.

No problem, I completely understood you once I read your whole message. I just thought you might be joking around at first. I thought it was funny. "Thanks for showing me how to put your signatures on my documents!" ha ha. That is great that my videos are so helpful to you. I am always looking for ideas on what people want to learn, so let me know if you have any particular things you want to be able to do with MS Word.

I followed your steps exactly and tried to create a Stamp in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I saved the signature as a PNG, TIFF, JPEG and all of them kept a solid white background. Do you know how to make it transparent in Acrobat?

You actually CAN modify an image size from it's corner manually with the mouse WITHOUT losing the proportion of it's size: always use the CORNERS (no matter which one you prefer, but i think that the sides works too) but, before clicking on them press SHIFT key and mantain it pressed, then click and resize the image: voilà. Hope u read this comment. Greets 2022. ps. the SHIFT key feature works on almost all image manipulation programs.

if you keep SHIFT key hold and click on it, you can remove all undesirable areas at once. no need to click for each separated area.

On the paint.net website, the green download button IS NOT for the application. The download for the paint tool is to the top of the right hand side of the website.
