As long as I've crocheted I've never made an afghan so I had no idea! . Mmmmmm:), this is like Ladder stitch but in woolly crochet….. good idea. I’ll give this a try out but I have a lot of different coloured squares to sew side by side. To be honest I don’t really fuss about sewing thread being seen because your project was made by hand, with love by YOU…. not a machine❤️. I’m doing Daisy Grannies and plain Grannies, enjoying them🥰.

I think I have watched every single JAYG searching for a truly invisible join and finally you have provided it for me. YAY ! I have multi colored solid granny squares all with a different ending colors and I did not join the 20 squares when doing the last row as I did with the blanket as I wasn’t sure how big to make my cushion. I didn’t want the joining color to show through and wanted them to be flat no ridge. Lots of requirements ! No other videos have show this particular method - close but not quite ! Thank you so much.

i love this!! i hate how a lot of the ways I've seen make the squares look puffy when all put together so this will be great for my cardigan :D

I love this tutorial! You made me laugh so hard....I really needed that! I have been going through tutorials for over 2 hours to find the perfect joining stitch....looks like this is the one. Thank you for sharing...and the giggle. If I threw my needle across the room I'm sure I would never find it....like all those crochet hooks that magically disappeared 😃

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned already but its called a ladder stitch. I often use it for doing invisible seams when closing holes in doll-making, cushions or mending seams. The needle trick had me intrigued though, I was looking behind me to see which of the dogs had found one of my needles before I realized it was on the video :)

Thank you for this amazing video. Strange but true, but is was a little hard to find an invisible granny square join. You are a very good teacher.😀

Throwing the needle! :) lol! Love it! Thanks so much for the video! It seriously helped me in my dilemma. My m-i-l asked me to finish a 1/4 complete project her Aunt gave to her. But her Aunt has passed so i had no way of asking how she did it. Have about 100 hexagon shape tiny cotton thread crocheted doilies to join for king size bed spread! Been searching for awhile and nothing else seemed to be right. This is PERFECT and looks like what she used to join the finished portion! God bless you!!!
