Lol, you poor things, it’s okay to be off your game some days!! Really like this design, thank you for sharing. I find the dsp a little light for a card base normally though, maybe a backing cardstock to write on for the back like you said could help?

the strip could just be 1/4 and adhered next to the folded over portion - fun idea

You could firm up the card and create a place to write a note by adhering the card to a cardstock base measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (it would only cover the back side of the less impressive side of the DSP. (There is way too much beautiful DSP in the mini catalog! I want it all.)
