Hi Nag, Thanks for the series videos! I created a calculated column in SSAS model date table to find default ‘current quarter’. It showed up in the model. But when I deployed and pulled(live connection) to Power BI it is not displaying in the visual. It is an error occurred. But when I use this logic and created the column in Power BI directly it is working fine. What could be the issue? Could you please help me to understand it. I can provide calculations used and the error message if you need it to understand better.

If it is calculated column , just change the model again and refresh.

Hi Sir, I have followed the installations as per your previous video but at 3:27 of this video, Workspace server is auto-populated for you, but in my system 'Localhost' is getting populated. In 'Analysis Services Deployment Wizard', which Database file has to be specified. Please let me know.

When you build the model and then deploy it, Is the data stored in the RAM of the computer?

No incase of SSAS the deployment happens in the server. That is why we installed SSAS tabular instance in the first video in the playlist

Hi, I've created a measurement table on a tabular mode. I reached the limit on this one, there is no more rows to included new measures. Is that possible to increase the number of lines?

What I understand is you have created lot of measures. You don't have space to create new measures in the table. If my understanding is right? Then this is solution. You can create measures on another table also as the measures are not belong to specific table. It belongs to entire model. So you can create measures in other tables as well.

Hi Nags, If I connect to sql server and make a model in visual studio and want to deploy in azure analysis services why it is showing error saying "gateway required"? Can you please share your insights

Of course. Since your SQL server is in on premise server you need to use gateway. Gateway enables you to secure transfer for onpremise data to Cloud. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/analysis-services/analysis-services-gateway

n i got one other issue, when i am going to deploy it gives me this error, "Cannot deploy to server localhost. Reason: The destination server version is not compatible with the compatibility level of the current model" when i start the new project i did not see any window to change the compatability of the model, can you please help me to solve this problem, many thanks

That's actually the multidimensional mode of SSAS cubes. As Microsoft recommends tabular model , the videos in this channel covered Tabular model only. The multidimensional model is not covered in the channel.

here we used all log on credentials windows authentication. in real time we go for usename and password or windows authentication. impersonation information can we use service account or usename an password in realtime.

You only have to reinstall the version bevor the last one of the Analysis Services Software, this will solve the problem. It is a problem accured due to the update, so the one version befor work with no problem :D

I never tried. But this should logically should work In visuals studio data tools.. Analysis service projects > import from tabular model option > provide power bi dataset server. Then you can import it as tabular model. Try and let me know if it works

I faced same issue. Check the server login name and database login and assign all roles except the roles starting with 'deny'. This resolved the issue for me.

hi, i have one problem, when I am going to deploy tabular model its give me this error Error: Cannot connect to the deployment database server 'DESKTOP-B3OPUQC'. Please verify the connection and try again. Reason: An error occurred while connecting to the server. ========== Build: 1 succeeded or up-to-date, 0 failed, 0 skipped ========== ========== Deploy: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 skipped ========== Can you please help me to solve this one, thanks

Go to services.msc. Search for SQL services Analysis service. Right click and check properties. In the display name you will find instance name. I.e SQL server Analysis service ( instance name). Then take this name and while deployment "DESKTOP-B3OPUQC\instance name" then try. Try to connect your SSAS server from SQL server management studio to ensure it is running

i have are errors in 11:34 , in the error it says there is no connextion established , but when i test connexion it is established

It may be due to many reasons. Mostly the issue seems to be user rights to the database. Check the user access rights to those table or database

i solved it , i register new login of (MSSQLSERVER) , my mistake was that i registered as login only MSOLAP$MOLAP user, in the end there are two services : (MSSQLSERVER) and MSOLAP$MOLAP to register

Not sure what error you are getting. Ensure user used to connect to database have all right. It should be impersonation issue.

07:11 mengisikan credential yg akan dipakai oleh server AS utk mengambil data dari data-source 08:46 menambahkan user (yg cred nya dipakai oleh server AS) ke database SQL (security) 10:17 sbg db_owner atau db_data_reader ? 19:18 peranan VS Data Tools di antara SQL DW dan SQL AS 22:15 kenapa di server AS terlihat ada tabular-model dg nama yg sama (yg satu punya suffix string random)
