Thank you! My koolaid spoon was used for years making grape Koolaid for my kids who are all grown up. It is still used today for all type of projects. Just a nice memory for me.

I use this bowl on my kitchen counter to hold my napkins. You can put in a plastic liner and use it to hold a houseplant. Also insert a plastic liner and it can hold chips, French bread slices, fruit or anything you want to serve along side a charcuterie board. I’ve also used these type bowls to hold collections of silverware, rolling pins, scented pine cones, shells, and hand towels in the bathroom or kitchen. I am currently making these type bowls to hold my sewing thread spools and bobbins. Will be sharing that video in the future.

I sewed the scallops all around with the machine. All the rope was dyed once at the beginning before sewing. Thank you!😊

Hi! I did have another question. How much rope does it take to make that size of a bowl? The yardage I’m hearing about is 100 yards for most “skeins”. Do you need more than one to make a bowl?

@robinschwartz6977 the rope I used for this bowl is the Hyper Tough cotton clothesline rope that is 3/16 inch by 100 feet. I only used 1 roll for this bowl. I purchased it from Walmart. Hope your project turns out great!😊

Yes you can make the bowl without paint. I’ve made bowls with out painting them.

Because the cotton rope that works perfectly for these bowls is off white and stains easily. I like to dye and seal my bowls. It’s a matter of personal preference. I’ve tried white rope that usually has polyester in it and does not hold up. Hope this helps!😊

I have applied Modge Podge to the inside of some of my bowls. It really stiffens the bowls.

Yes it would!

First I make sure to purchase stiff 100% cotton rope. Not the poly cotton rope because it’s too soft. The dyeing process does help stiffen the rope. The best thing I found for making the bowls permanently stiff is to coat the bowl with Mod Podge. I use the matte finish Mod Podge. Hope this helps!
