@@hansalexander9729 The Elevation parameter rises the building above the ground level, while the Foundation sets the thickness of your building's foundation.
If you’re using Live Home 3D for Mac, please select multiple Floor objects in the Project Tree, and their total area will be displayed above the rulers. Please pay attention that you can't calculate the square footage of the walls.
@@LiveHome3D thanks for the response. Since all the dimensions are available, this would be a good feature to add and would also help estimating paint required.
Is anyone else hopelessly unable to use roof contour points (9:06) the way they're used in this video? At 9:20 you see the new points create contour lines in the roof, which are then used to manifest a dormer. I am unable to get the contour lines to present.

Hi there! Thinking of using this software for a personal home project. We are mostly wanting to design the layout of outdoor spaces (front & back). Would this be a good idea to use for that? Thank you!
Yes, you can definitely use Live Home 3D for outdoor design. This is where it can come in useful: www.livehome3d.com/fields-of-use/garden-design-app www.livehome3d.com/fields-of-use/backyard-design-app www.livehome3d.com/fields-of-use/landscape-design-software And you may also like some videos about the terrain editing. Importing a floor plan is optional. If you have a floor plan on paper or in your computer, you need to import it into Live Home 3D. If you don't have a plan, you need to build your project from scratch, as it is described in the video.
You can't open and close doors with a setting in Live Home 3D. Instead, there are separate 3D models available in the Library for opened and closed doors. As for turning the light on/off for a lamp or candle: - first, you should make sure that the Lighting is enabled in 3D View. - then if you select the light object (a lamp or a candle) you will be able to control its light sources from the Light Properties tab of the Inspector. You can always contact our technical support for a more detailed answer with some reference images. support@belightsoft.com
Is it possible to make different rooms have different heights in foundation to create split level house design.? If not currently available, when will this update be available?
Hello. It’s not possible to set a different foundation height for each room. Instead, you can use workarounds described in the following video tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lBfao8-_zyk.html
Hi, you need to build the walls in the 2D mode, and then switch to the 3D mode to apply materials, add furniture, export snapshots and video walkthroughs.
Hi, it's completely different - SketchUp is perfect for making 3D models, whereas Live Home 3D is used for interior design tasks when you are constructing houses, terrain, arranging furniture, plants and accessories, and other things.
Has this app been used to build a real home? I’m new and want to build my own home but just trying to figure out where to start. And what apps I can utilize
Hi, some of our users use it to build a prototype of their houses. The have shared with us screenshots of their projects and photos of a real houses. Actually, the house of the app's Project Lead was designed in Live Home 3D before it was actually built: www.livehome3d.com/useful-articles/a-story-behind-live-home-3d However, please pay attention that Live Home 3D will not provide any construction documentation required for building a house.
Hi, sure, screenshots do not look as realistic as enhanced rendered scenes. However, screenshots can also look attractive and professional. For example, take a look at these screenshots of the app available on our website livehome3d.com. They haven't been enhanced in any rendering service: www.livehome3d.com/assets/img/mac/visualize-3d-home-designs@2x.jpg www.livehome3d.com/assets/img/mac/stunningly-realistic-rendering@2x.jpg www.livehome3d.com/assets/img/mac/terrain-editing-pro@2x.jpg www.livehome3d.com/assets/img/mac/material-editor-pro@2x.jpg www.livehome3d.com/assets/img/ios/terrain-editing-pro@2x.jpg
