It’s not always just making excuses and being lazy. It’s often way more complex than that.I think that’s a bit surface level, and black and white thinking, and over-generalising about people. Also, it depends on how you tell people ‘why did you do that’ when they’re not taking personal responsibility. For someone who was shouted at as a kid (who’s learning) they potentially could never ask/take again and grow up to do only as they’re told as a fear-based trauma response. Now, I have a problem with this because this is what individual adults and institutions rely on to maintain power over children which then this submissive personality goes into their adulthood. This is how we get taken advantage of and controlled. There are other ways to show people how to be responsible towards each other and themselves. Interrogating, shouting and blaming is not the answer.
