this is embarrassing that I learned more here, than with my school. I hate how the school structure is set up to make it more complicated than it has to be. Thank you for simplifying this whole thing.
+Tanya Salas .. I co-sign this. I feel like they should rid textbooks in teaching and utilize tools such as this to teach. I wanted to cry when my textbook tried to explain this. But I just learned an entire "module" of accounting in 6 minutes and 17 seconds.
I'm so lucky to be born in a time when we have the internet. I'm a visual learner who needs to see example after example. Because of Covid, all my lectures are pdf notes and it drives me crazy just looking at pages all day. Thank you for these videos, you're a lifesaver.
Larry this is a rock star plain vernacular explanation that even my 9 yr old daughter was able to follow and get it 100% correct. Seriously, most accounting programs professors love to clutter our heads with non-sense BS, constantly hiding the ball to make themselves look brilliant. THANK YOU!!!
You sir are a person with the ability to teach. I will pay it forward by referring you to my fellow classmates and those that wish to learn from a master.
Just like everyone else on here, I actually understood this, after more than a year of trying to get my head around accounting. Thank you so much for making this years ago, it’s still extremely helpful!
THANKYOU!!! I start an accounting internship this spring and i may be doing trial balances which prior to watching this video had no idea what they were because accounting 101 was a long time ago.
OMG!! Larry!!! Your 6 minute explanation is way better than 3 hour- explanation from my teacher. It seems fog disappeared after sunrise. I wish you could be my teacher ! I would 've loved accounting more If so. Thank you!!!
Such a crystal clear pin pointed explanation !! After watching a lot of videos on accounting that enhanced my confusion to even a higher level , this one made me understand the stuffs so easily.. Thanks a ton Sir :)
Dr. Lynch? You sound EXACTly like Dr. Lynch, my accounting professor at SCC! Even your paperwork looks identical to what you show us in CNOW. Either way, your videos have been a great refresher. This class has been a breeze (spring 2023) because I took accounting twice in my previous education trials. Yes, I partied to much and had to drop out, but I definitely learned accounting before doing so. Fifteen years later and here I am--in accounting class with a only a few weeks left. I will complete school this time! Makes a difference when your parents aren't footing the tuition bill for you! Thanks again!
This is an excellent tutorial. The use of T-Accounts really makes it easy to understand. When you've absorbed all of this you might want to go a step further and check out this little software called "Rushing Auditor". It's a small, but fast plain-vanilla ledger software. It's free for you to use up to 500 entries (it doesn't expire). It's simple to use, and is chock-full of error-trapping routines that keep you from making mistakes. It's a great learning aid. Just Google it using the keywords "Rushing Auditor".
Thank you so much for all your videos, they help so so much 🙏🏻 I hate my textbook because I can’t understand it at all but with these videos it actually makes sense!
im a pure science student in primaryyy n even secondaryyyy and collegeee .. suddenly university , i got account and its been week 5 i havent understand anything my lecturer taught. I started to blame myself n dislike accounting bcause acc is weird . Yet, ffinally, through ur video , i understand how to interpret the question . Now i can calm down a bit haha . Although this video was uploaded 6 years ago , i want to thank u so much :)
I'm taking a bookkeeping certificate course rn. It took them 5 videos to teach this, lol. Can't imagine how much harder this would have been in a class with 100 students in it
