Heya Duck in today's video we will be getting crafty! I'm going to be making a ring out of acrygel and of course, a nail to match, lets's get crafting!
I'll start by sizing up my ring and to do that I'm going to take a piece of backing paper from a nail form and cut a slice of that off about 2cm in width then I'll wrap that around a Gelica Gel bottle lid which is my size and I'll stick that down with a nail tab.
I'll take some clear-as-day Acrygel on my spatula and I'll start to apply that around the lid of the bottle then I can use the Mr Buttons brush with a splash of clean-up solution to smooth over the Acrygel and refine the edges and then that can go in the lamp.
While that’s in the lamp I'll start on the nail going in again with a bead of acrygel and I’ll create a thin layer of the nail but don’t cure it yet.
I'll add another thin layer of Acrygel to my ring so we can place some Shell into it I'm using some white and some pink I'll take my hammy picker upper and just press some pieces of shell into the acrygel when I'm happy with the placement of the shell I'll pop that into the lamp and I'll do the same with the nail.
Back to the ring I'll add another thin layer of Acrygel to encapsulate the shell and cure that and then I'll do the same with the nail except I'm going to be using pink marshmallow at the cuticle area.
On the ring again I'll use my BabaCass Gel Polish to add some sparkle and cure that and then I'll do the same on the free edge of the nail.
Now I'll give the ring another coat of clear Acrygel, then I'll use my BrenDek Brush to clean up the edges and smooth over with the Mr Buttons brush, then that can go in the lamp.
Now I'll encapsulate the nail with the Clear as Day Acrygel and we can give that a cure.
Now I'll wipe over the ring with clean-up solution on a lint-free pad to remove the sticky layer and then remove the right from the bottle lid and ill file that into shape.
Now I'll use my E-File with the pink Swarovski bit to smooth the inside of the ring and then we can give it a buff over.
Going back to the nail I'll remove the sticky layer and file the nail into shape
Now we can use the Gloss topcoat on the inside of the ring and give that a cure and I'll gloss top the underside of the nail to cure that
Now I'll take Chewie my SFX topcoat and I'll use this to seal in both the ring and the nail.
