Peter, it was 45 mins into the video when you mentioned the virus and self filming. I hadn't even noticed! There are no quality issues with this format. The quality of your videos comes from your extensive knowledge. Thank you for all your time you give to create these videos and sharing so generously.

Peter, I would like to offer my opinion on your comment that you have always thought your voice to be boring: I actually find your voice to be soothing & relaxing! I love your videos for that as well as your information & expertise on bonsai care, etc...thank you so much !
You should do more of this. Something from nothing is my favorite topic. I work at a nursery and get the throwaways all the time and you give me inspiration.
Because an accident I’m not able to get to herons any more I’ve watched you from the beginning of your RU-vid adventure still finding what you present so refreshing always something to learn 😊Dennis the butcher
Thank you Peter, I have learned so much; I also learned not to discard any cuttings. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and I am very thankful that there are people like you who take all the time to teach people like me! 🙏😊
Mr. Chan you are an educator 1st and a businessman 2nd. Nothing wrong with that at all. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I watch the commercials on your videos to help the business end. Greetings from the USA.
these plastic pots are great. They´re cheap, they give you an idea of how it´ll look like in a ceramic pot and they´re deep enough so they don´t slow down the growth too much. I know, as a beginner you usually want instant results but patience is one of the most important thimngs in Bonsai. You can get a nice ceramic pot when the tree is more refined. I grow my young mame and shohin bonsai in joghurt cups, cream cheese packages and noodle soup cups. They get nice pots when they´re more refined.
You have provided many happy hours of entertainment and encouragement for me while I am learning all I can about the art of bonsai. Thank you for being such a creative and practical teacher
I simply treasure your channel, I have learned so so mush, you Are such a wonderfull teacher, I am now on my way to the neighbour s garden,, 😅👍👍and Then the Woods nearby to see after pines, I live in Denmark, so there is lots of material.Thank you for All your time and Therese great videos🤗❤️❤️
Thanks Peter. This is a beautiful and refreshing morning because I am watching your amazing bosai techniques. There is the sound of rain and thunder and now and then a flash a lightning across the sky.The rain is finally here in Trinidad⛈️
Thanks Guru Peter... I'm always recommending these videos on Facebook bonsai groups as people constantly post a pic of a new tree they've bought or been given and ask what they should do with it. Even though I've been doing this for a few years I learn something every time I watch one, and they've been great during winter nights while I work on my trees, and Covid lockdowns.
Again a great learning session. Thank you Peter. But you shouldn't worry about advertisement. Due to your videos i decided to order new trees from your nursery and each of them arrived healthy and well packed. And until this day they are all healthy and vigorous. I'm looking forward to my next shopping tour
Maybe you should start the Peter Chan’s challenge where people take one of the three from garden centre stock and send you pictures/videos of their process.
Like a gentleman said you could drop a Tooth pick pick it up And there will be A forest . I would love to get one of your books and have it signed you are a great Teacher Mr. Peter did you have children That talk after you grow Bonds eyes I have a great day and stay safe We do need to figure how you can sell to the United States I would love to get my hands on one of your forest someday maybe. That's why I asked could they be sent daring dormant time
Mr. Chan, don't worry about the long videos. Very interesting and very informative. It would be nice to see a video on just root development of various trees with various root systems.
Thank you sir for your knowledge. I really enjoy working with trees. Hope to one day have a nursery like yours here in Washington state USA. Just absorbing information and trying not to kill every tree I work with. You have been a great help.
@@markn3586 can you suggest a nursery in Seattle? My family will be there in a few days, and I thought they might find me a tiger bark ficus, Can't find them here in Minnesota
I am so glad to have stumbled upon your videos. Bonsai is something I have been wanting to try for some time and you make it very accessible. I have four trees going right now (three Chineese juniper and a Japanese Boxwood) and sculpting/ caring for them has been an absolute joy. Thank you!
You've been doing a great job shooting these, Peter! It's nice to have a stable tripod shot for this longer form demo and smaller form factor. Understandably for your bigger trees, it's impractical to bring the material to the camera for closer inspection... but I feel it works rather well in this case. Thank you for the demo!
By introducing your ways and reason for making video itself shows legendary. Even if you had sell your knowledge it could get you few money but peoples might forget but by this free knowledge you and your ways will remains in everyone’s heart as long as they live. Great respect 🙏🙏
What a wonderful thing it is to watch your videos from halfway across the world. I am new to the scene (3 years?) and am fascinated that almost everything I hear you say is what I am also hearing at our club in Portland. Thank you for your time and caring enough to educate us, especially during these times when getting together is difficult.
That was just amazing, even a non Bonsai can try his/ her hand at it ! Than you for sharing all this with such love ! I love Bonsais, killed a few, now I know why, can take better care of them learning from you !
I Love your long videos and I think you do very well self videoing. I Love those little trees They all came out so Beautiful. I think I would stretch out more than 3 minutes just for the enjoyment of the doing it 😁😁
you should have a small round table and a chair, so you can face us. you get really quiet when you turn to work on the tree and you often block what you are doing. I love the videos, this is just a suggestion to make it easier to see and hear :)
I recieved a Bonsai as a gift and it died after a year. In my search to save the poor thing I came across your videos! I am inspired now to make my own and I feel like I with sll the wonderful tips from your videos I can be successful!!! Thank you! thank you! Thank you!!!
Really great video Pete. You covered so much ground. I have learnt a lot and you have sorted out some queries for me. AND...A SLEEPING BRANCH ! ! I didn't know such a creature existed! Thank you so much.
Thank you, Peter . I started Bonsai late in life . I think this is my lane . Small Bonsai (shohin , mame ) I can enjoy NOW . I have some larger trees in development in big pots, but not sure I'll live to see their development. Also interested in Yamadori.
I can see the true passion while teaching bonsai. I have been watching lots of videos to start making one. Yours has definitely given me a lift to start. Thankyou so much for your humble teaching .
Thanks again for being such a good teacher... those close up video shots are useful as a tree is a 3D object and not just a central trunk with limbs coming out from the right and left. Stay safe...
I just got 8 of these trees in a Lidl supermarket for 20 euros (2,5 each). I bought them because a saw this video a few months ago and boy that I'm going to follow your instructions Mr. Chan! Thanks a lot
I`d love to see how to create a bonsai from a azalea nursery stock (especially somehing like Azalea japonica), because everyone just talks about satsuki and kurume evergreens. Love the videos as always!
I so appreciate your in depth videos and your sharing of your awesome talent. Don’t worry about how long your videos are, I could watch them all day. Your information is so valuable. Especially for beginners like myself. Thank you again.
Very educational & inspiring video. I’ve always been scared of cutting my bonsais, now I think I’ll be able to take the plunge & create credible bonsais instead of bushes that I have at the moment
Dear Peter, I love your long videos. I am sad if they are shorter than 50 minutes. Very, very useful material in this video. Indeed, lovely, lovely little ones. Waiting for the wire and soon...I will be able to give it a try. Thank you. Greetings from Poland!
Created my firsr Conifer Bonasi by following this guide. Stripped copper wire from old electric cables to create interesting bends. Would recommend, fantastic and informative video 👍 thank you :)
