Great stuff thanks for sharing your knowledge, the Miyo looks like an excellent system. I currently use the Noritake FC paste

This looks great! I'm having an issue with the colors sliding and marbling rather than staying in place. Do you have advice for preventing that?

Make the glaze thinner on the incisal edge before adding colors. That should do it. If the glaze is too thick, then the colors will creep cervically.

Thank you for the really good video! May I ask you what the program is for the Emax before staining and also after staining of the oven?

Use the Ivoclar recommendations for crystallization (found on their website) and then the MiYO recommendations by Jensen, can be found on my website blog www.cadstar.org/blog/miyo-glaze-and-structure-firing-chart

Can you review the structure porcelains and texturing. I have been using Miyo on Emax and would like some firing settings for both stains and structure. Thanks

Hi Bill, I have listed the recommended firing chart in the blog on my teaching website bit.ly/3aCt6jJ. With ceramics I place texture in the ceramic finishing and mainly add just incisal effects with MiYo. Structure is effective on zirconia to provide a ceramic appearance. I am still learning the structure. There are several Structure technique videos on the MiYO website. All the best.

Good day Doc. How is the stability of Miyo stains?
@KlimDDS

Very stable, it is more like a brush on ceramic and it can be covered with structure brush on ceramic that is about 200-300 um thick that internalizes the appearance. Work well on both ceramics and zirconia.

Congrats, nice video, Doc. Can Miyo be burn in the speedfire furnace? As a glaze program for the emax cad. Thanks

Good question, Unfortunately, the Miyo is sensitive to firing conditions. A vacuum is needed which the Speedfire does not have. Programat CS2 by Ivoclar is a good all-around ceramic furnance.

So you can mill emax veneers with Cerec, and then characterised with Miyo, and then fire with Programat CS2?
