In the video I share my thoughts on how I create a large painting on RAW canvas. I share background possibilities and colors. I also share how I create thumbnail sketches to help inspire my larger painting. I create a small painting in this video.

Thank you so much! My view numbers are low, so wondering what I am not doing that might help that. Sometimes I get so discouraged.

Like you, I'm interested in playing with raw canvas (although I'm not really sure why). Is it the texture that attracts you? If so, did you consider Fluid Acrylics instead of Heavy Body? Helen Frankenthaler used unprimed canvas and paint almost the consistency of watercolor to create "soak-stain" works. Also, did your gesso eliminate any of the texture you were seeking?

Hello!! Yes, I think it is that incredible texture. I love texture and the raw canvas gives that texture right from the start. I LOVE Helen's work. I did a video a bit back where I share some thoughts on the soak stained. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CFdYzLPJ6cY.html I was told I could get this same result from washing the raw canvas, but I loved that process and enjoyed doing what she might have done to some degree (Different materials I am sure) thank you for watching and take care friend.

Love you tutorials. The songs are very distracting though. I would turn it completely down, but then I would miss your comments.

I understand. There are many the ask for the music, so I try to do both and some videos I do not have music, some I have it. thank you for watching!! I appreciate you

I try to mention when I could stop but I tend to also keep going as I am a risk taker

Love that you showed the possibility of stopping. Also, maybe music without the depressing dark lyrics. Or no lyrics at all. My name is Eileen, and I use my husbands RU-vid account. I learn something every day from you.
