And then when she tried to explain to them that the reason she didn’t wear it was because it was fake kente they got all mad at her and said she was being defensive LIKEEE🤦🏻♀️
@@qwertyforeverd2953 watched SL04N 's video about it and... wow. Never really watched the show so I can't believe they got away with things like that!!
@@noasagi6171 I'm so sorry to have been unclear and now I'm embarrassed lol. There was a girl on America's Next Top Model who was made by the producers to appear more African in a very cliche way. Ex. they gave her a "traditional African" hat but it was made with a fake, cheap version of the fabric. So basically my failed attempt at a point was the show goes about this sort of thing in all the wrong ways 😂
I love the fact that the judge or the other person is like “are you gonna get a nose job” when they both have the same nose (I know they’re the same person but I can’t ignore it)
It's actually hilarious because of how accurate this is this happens in the modelling agency all the time. "Less attractive" agents push "less attractive" models who look similar to them to get nose jobs or teeth straightening/whitening to make them look more perfect and conventionally attractive.
I was very curious to know the correct pronunciation. According to some rabbis online, the really correct pronunciation is Ju-DAH-ism, as it is based off the name Judah And is pronounced with a soft A. However, in British English it is common to say Ju-DAY-ism which is “Da” with a hard A, and in American English Ju-DEE-ism. That being said, “Jud-DEE-ism” is a terrible pronunciation in general as “DA” should never be pronounced as DEE in any circumstance. It’s very American Southern. But that’s America for you. So yes, it is funny.
@@kelliecook736 I’m Jewish, my family is Jewish, I grew up Jewish. I’ve literally NEVER heard a Jewish person other than the ultra orthodox say it another way. Get off your high horse.
Same. Like I can relate to this on a redo all basis. I’m not a model-but the “why aren’t you Jewish enough? You have to look more jewish” is very relatable
Well America's next top model or whatever dose have a show full of drama if you searched up sonthing like "America's next top model every rude moment" Im sure you would find what you're looking for
sHaNa ToVa! 😅 Lmao, that's how they exploit any racial "traits" like oooh you're from Thailand? Here some super long nails! Btw the way the contestant is dressed is so accurate 😂
Omg honestly I'd love to see more of normalizing this shape of nose. I have the same shape and it's been hard my whole life seeing how it's not as socially acceptable as other shapes. This was great!
I honestly don't understand how people can really discriminate (dont know if that's the right word for it) against a NOSE- like... its a nose... all noses are honestly adorable no matter what-
LMAO this really reminded me so much of some particular ANTM episodes, so damn accurate 🤣🤣🤣😭 the saddest and funniest part is this isn't an exaggeration 😭😭😭
As a Jewish girl, I can take a joke and though this was pretty funny and accurate of antm. No, Yiddish is not sim language for people in the comments. Nose job or we will play it up to make it your thing was spot on.
@@gunnartv2677 never was yours to begin with. Israel is sacred land to Jewish people. You have enough land all over the Middle East. You’ll be just fine👌
I think it was for more accuracy about the shows: tyra (the principal judge) often give label to the girl even when it does not define them (I don't remember the show enough to give a real exact exemple but I slightly remember (I might be wrong) a black girl who had to let her "wild African side" shows on the picture even when she never have been there....
@@jenniferl.8111 Because you don't have to be a certain religion if you don't want to be? If you grew up Christian your whole life but decided it wasn't you that's perfectly fine. Plenty of people have left their religions bc it doesn't reflect who they are and that's ok
She meant she’s not religiously Jewish the joke is that the judge doesn’t care about the person’s outlook just about her physical features and being able to base her whole identity and personality on that, and how that’s weird.
i honestly love her nose? it stands out in a good way and gives her face character. generally i think long and hooked noses like that are really beautiful
@@jesslabrunette I’m scrolling through the comments and have come across three now with you talking about her nose which is super funny to me. What’s got you so pressed to comment about this girls nose? Jealous or something? Or just super vain?
I understand you like her but I for one, am genuinely bored of peopleing seeing a busty white girl with a slim frame and being like 'wow so pretty' It's fine for you to think that or find her attractive but objectively... it's just not true
The modeling world needs to change. Beauty is in anything and in everything! You can’t simply make something beautiful beauty makes itself ❤️you do you girl.
“Ssss-peel”. Yuck. After studying German and English for so many years I get rules of pronunciation for each language mixed up, but I’ve always justified saying “shh-peel” because it’s not really an English word. People make fun when I said stephen shhhpielberg, but I mean look at that name. It’s German in origin.
You give off massive Jreg vibes in terms of physical and verbal delivery, content, and quality. Mad props and I hope you go pro one day, you’d crush it
People need to realize that being a model isn’t about YOU (in a sense) but it’s....... how do I explain it? Here is a scenario or whatever. I have a dress. This dress comes in a variety of sizes BUT we need to advertise this dress so we have buyers to pay for the production!! So we have a sample dress. Obviously I don’t want a plus size model as you will have to pay for extra fabric so I pick a smaller model. The smaller the better- less money for me. Also, you want a nationally pretty model since more people will be willing to buy the product when they see a conventionally pretty girl. Models aren’t asked to do a job contrary to belief but Models beg for it. Models have to beg designers to showcase their product because 9/10 of YoU don’t they have thousands who will. So whatever views, beliefs, shape you have. You either conform or just don’t model. Start your own brand. You can’t force someone to cater to you. If you have a big crooked weird shaped nose, that’s fine. Some designers want ... unique features! Just don’t be selfish.
I love your acting/rp!! Your profile... is STUNNING. I’ve always found strong noses to be so beautiful. Reminiscent of ancient busts and just so... regal!! I promise I’m done now, lol. Edit: ...oops, I just saw I kinda already commented almost the same thing a few months ago, lol.
