Volunteers joined the DNR's Wildlife Division and Michigan United Conservation Clubs in March 2013 to improve rabbit habitat, or "rabbitat," at Gratiot-Saginaw State Game Area. See how the volunteers created strategic brush piles by cutting down invasive plants and encroaching trees, providing cover for rabbits from predators and the elements. Learn more about this volunteer work day on our website at www.michigan.go....

Great job! It is always nice to see the youth involved in the outdoors, too.

How many years will a brush pile like that last before the base logs rot down to the point rabbits cant get in?
