I’m gonna sound so dumb, anyway to address your concerns on how this will be represented in a potential Zombies 4: Descendants had a very similar animated short series (like the art style is identical) in between 1 and 2 and it never showed up in the plots of the later movies (except for one random song being played for a bit in 2), so I think you’re good. Thank you for listening to me finding a purpose for all my useless knowledge.

Also for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that in that series the vampires were literally trapped behind a caved in entrance or something in the werewolf cave and I'm not sure they ever noticed that.

I think you might enjoy the desendants shorts series if you liked this sort of thing. It's easily separated into 2 main stories (1 per series) and it's fairly consistent with the lore of the other movies.
