Great, informative, succinct and well presented information. Thanks for the tips! Will be super helpful when building new sounds on the JD. I've also downloaded patch base to go deep into the hood. Have you tried that software for the JDXi?
There are now PC, Mac and iPad editors that make all of this much, much easier! So you can implement all of these good recommendations for sound design much faster.
indeed they are great editors but sometimes its nice to dig into the menu just to get familiar with the synth. anyway thanks for passing by and contributing.
Did you ever load any free new sound banks into yours yet? If so, where do you get the free sound banks exactly, the one's we are supposed to be able to put into the jd xi?

Hi well it is a very versatile synth although I am more a hobbyist who enjoys some beat making but not as great as you in that cool hip hop beat making sense but I can say the latest version of the synth has had its niggles ironed out so your money will be well spent, it sounds great especially the drum sounds they are incredible.
