ForSynthsSake is about creating awareness, an understanding technically, of your synths. I see many people playing their prized synths but few showing how to do particular tasks. I get asked many questions so decided to create the channel. I hope it helps people of all ability. If you are unsure of something then ask and if I have the synth I will gladly help you out. This is the hobby that I love and what better place than the internet to share and help others.
So if i dont want to have a looping polyrythym, but a full sequenced song featuring polyrythyms at certain points, then i'd need a 2nd track just for any notes played in the other subdivision?
Great video, very useful. I have just ordered one used, since they aren't made anymore. Sorry you seem to have got some nasty comments below in places, not deserved! This video of yours is good because you're using to assemble a basic example track, as opposed to just going through each feature, which isn't that helpful.
The JDXI manual says you can control program changes with midi channel 16. I would like to be able to control program up/down with a midi foot switch so that I can play guitar and use the JDXI as a “band in a box”. How do I control program +/- (up /down) with a foot switch? Can you also control start/stop?
hey man how do you know on what chanal moog is that you do on 1:30 of the video. bcs i got it playing when i press keys but my midi when i write it in ableton doesent play even it show that midi is working...and moog editor i installed is working and it moves when i turn knobs ,pls help
Since the squarp doesn’t have the arranger like the hapax, I wish you could link novation launchpad to use that as an arranger extension/scenes similar to the hapax/oxi
You can also switch between different Project Presets and it stays in sync, just copy your current session over to a new empty session and save then switch between them and so you get a lot more room to play with this way. So for instance your session is F01, just copy it to F02, F03 etc. edit away and switch between them using Value buttons.
To clarify, it IS automating the Sub 37 itself, correct? Still recording and generating sounds via my analog synthesizer? I am now able to digitally automate my analog hardware via this editor, right?
Thx for the tutorial! I'm new to this synth but I love my JD-XI. One question though. When I apply effects to a part (let's say synth), it affects the whole song. How do I separate it So that the effects only affect per part? Thanks!

Thank you so much! Incredibly helpful, I just updated mine before my show tonight. I wanted that transpose function, now I don't have to take my full size keyboard to the show. WOOOOT! :)
