Creating space for belonging in Poland 

We have come a long way since the police raid on the Stonewall Inn Pub in New York, on 28 June 1969 - marking the first time LGBTQIA+ people fought back against discrimination, but we still have a long way to go to ensure equal rights for all. ✊
Nowhere in #Europe is this more evident than #Poland, with the country ranked last in the #EU for LGBTQIA+ rights by @ILGA-Europe for the 5th time in 2024.
The #EEANorwayGrants Active Citizens Fund have this funding period supported over 2800 civil society projects empowering those who stand up for democracy, human rights and our liberties.
Two of these are the Rainbow family Areas and Equality March-projects in Poland. Common for both, is a mission of creating community and being recognised by the public and state for who you are.
