Nice guide, thanks! If you're using a TX81Z, with the donk bass, you have to use ratios 1.06 & 2.00 for the operators. Then transpose down an octave. It can't dial in a ratio of 0.53, the closest is setting 0.56, and that sounds totally different.

The intro to the Fairground Mix of Everybody In The Place I’m pretty sure is a ring modulated pulse wave, if you get the tuning just right it’s bang on, you can kind of do it with wave shaping too just keeping it it tune isn’t as easy. I have found various versions on Korg’s machines but it’s the Yamaha Reface CS that was the first machine I got that was able do just do it quite easily (I can upload a video if it’s be of any interest after 4 years!) I’d guess the original might be a Moog through some Mooger pedal that costs more than my house.. I think comments are right that it came from a sample cd though since as far as I know Liam wrote it while still using a W-30, it sounds like a sample on the original because he definitely had a specific way of using fast release (if any) and attack to give the sound an extra kind of hit to it. I think it’s on one of the floppy disks Jilted Generator has that came with one if Liam’s original W-30s that he owns and shockingly still loaded as of a few years ago.. I’ve never been able to place that breakdown melody sample that sounds like it’d be called “bontempi” or something, it might be in the Ennio Morricone sample that finishes the track come to think of it. I like The Prodigy.
