So happy to see a new video from you today, great cards from your paper designs. I would be intrested in seeing a tutorial for using Canva. Sure hope all goes well for your auction and selling the farm and the rest of your move to GA. Safe travels for you and Jon as you get your move complete.
This is a very exciting way to get your front, layers, and ephemera to color match Julia. Fun to watch you have fun creating this card! Its just darling!
Hi Julia. So great to see your video today. My goodness those were some pretty papers you created ... and the cards as well. I love the idea that you can make as much ir as little asnyou want and don't have enormous quantities of the same papers. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
I have missed your videos, and was glad to see this one! I liked your blue ones best. They were cute cards! Good luck with everything going on with you!
It's on the list - I am trying to work through the process so I can explain it smoothly. The papers I have created already are really layered up, and I'm trying to simplify a bit to start out the gate with. The video is coming....
Thanks Susan - I am so glad we started this process last year. I don't think I would have had enough energy to get it all done if we had waited 5 more years!!
It is good to see you and your newest video. You have done a fantastic job with creating your own pattern paper! It’s such a fun thing to make your own, experiment, and learn how to do for yourself. Now, you will always be able to have the design you need when you need it! Excellent job in designing and card making!😊❤😊
G'day Julia... it was so wonderful walking up to a new video from you this morning, although it didn't come as a surprise as you told me. 🤗 I am amazed how you have created these very pretty papers, embellishments and sentiments... they are truly delightful, and I now understand what you have been talking about. Julia, does this mean that you no longer need to purchase paper pads??? I think back at your studio room tour and seeing all your 12"x12" papers, and all the smaller paper pads as well! I would imagine that it would be exciting coming up with your own designs and using them on your cards as it would make your cards very personal and exclusive. I agree and think vellum would be wonderful to try using this process. Please let me know how if it works. Thinking of you with the auction date of your farm quickly approaching and sending prayers your way. God's blessings, love and hugs. Gloria 🥰🙏💐❤
Howdy m'Friend! Well...truth be told I don't ever need to purchase a paper pack again. This would be true even if I hadn't discovered this latest creative outlet. I am going to clear out all my small scraps as I unpack for certain. And will be donating large packs of paper in the future as soon as I find a good recipient. Lots of love from the other side of the world! Julia
I will be working on that after we get the auction out of the way this Saturday. It's a new computer challenge for me. But I think I have it figured out...we'll see!
So happy to see and hear you. These papers printed are pretty. I love my HP ink subscription. Glad I own the pink glue taper! I prefer this size cards best. 💌✂️❤️
Oh my goodness, I have missed your videos and this one with all of your beautiful papers and your giggles of excitement was so much fun to watch! Isn't making your own things fun? I have always loved being a graphic designer and having the tools to make things on the computer for my scrapbooks and cards (not that you have to be a graphic designer but getting to design for my job and my personal stuff is awesome). Your cards turned out beautiful and now I am super excited for that package to arrive so I can make some samples from it for you! I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with to! I wish you the best with the auction next weekend and getting things squared away with the ranch so you can be done with the move!!
Oh my goodness ! your papers are beautiful !! Very inspiring for sure ! I would love to see how you created them. Thank you for sharing your fabulous makes, irissavedbygrace
Hey Julia! Glad to see you! Love the paper you made! I’m leaning towards the blue I think, I like the wood look. But you did great on those cards and the little notepad, that was cool! When you printed the ephemera did you use card stock or printer paper? ❤️
Hi Leslie - I printed the ephemera on the same 60# paper. I thought I would use my Xyron and glue it to heavier cardstock if it didn't work well. But the pieces I have used have all been mounted onto a 2nd piece and seem to be OK. My printer won't take heavy paper. And the texture of the Hammermill 60# is really nice!
Hi Elizabeth - I got that years ago and it used to have my phone number on it, but I have since cut it out. I don't know if that specific design is still available but here is the source www.magnusoncustomstamps.com/
Hi Dae - I got that stamp years ago from Unity Stamp Co - if I remember someone in the original family started the custom stamp line and eventually split off. I would start there if I had to reorder it today.
I like the Books by Hand PVA glue quite a bit - for the heavier paper it works great. And is a lot less expensive than tape runner. But, it's hard to beat the convenience of ATG.
