The temperature is not indicated for the oil and water phases, I understood they should both be the same but I don't see what that temp is. Is it just me? Did I miss something? I love your detailed explanations, they are all so great it's the only thing missing!

What a nice looking cream that was! Can you add organic powders directly into the mix or this type of ingredients need to be worked out to be macerations or extractions? thanks :)

I love your content,so helpful. By the way,for that ingredients of natural cream, may i add ethylhexylglycerine for the preservative or that cream base formulation more than enough for the shelf life of cream? Thankyou

my last amazon shpmt. vanished, so I'm going to try your method for skin cream. I am super allergic to some perfumes, additives, which I learned sampling free cosmetics as part of my work experience. Think I saw macademia product somwhere here, and just recently found out Probably not for me. It was a gift pkg. and my forearms and thighs developed the worst rash ever, weather was hot, I was driving for hours, etc....this rash lasted at least a full week ,was hidden, and caused absolutely no pain! Thanks for the ideas. I will look into this further. Well, it was a bit annoying as the damaged skin dried up, enuf said.
Another question....how would I make my own Ph adjusting solution using NaOH? What would the % be or better yet....how many grams of NaOH to Distilled water to make the adjusting solution?
Hi Carol, for beginner chemists, I recommend a 10% NaOH solution. ALWAYS add the NaOH to water, never the water to NaOH. Add 10g NaOH to 90g water and stir till dissolved. Hope this helps, happy formulating! You may also enjoy this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s0I7ZsGqUhk.html

wow thanks for this video. I am learning to make facial creams and I do wonder why I get that white looking texture that look like flour paste when I rub it on my skin. thank you. ill watch the reducing the white rub video
Emulsifier catches air molecules and creates foam that takes time to rub in. Reduce quantity of emulsifier and add silicones (dimethicone, cyclomethicone).

Hello In the event that I wanted to put (collagen powder or bleaching powder) on face beautification creams _ at what stage can I add the powder? Is after the completion of making the cream? Or boil it with distilled water? Or do I put it with melted wax or at any point exactly I want the powder to blend comfortably and perfectly with the cream mixture
You shouldn't be using bleaching powder on the face. For the collagen, it would normally be after your emulsion has cooled, please consider this program, it will help you make the right material and method selections: createcosmeticformulas.com/Cosmeticformulas/Cosmeticformulas-894/Makeskincareandhaircareformulas-900/

Hi Rita, there are a few types - sclerotium is great but you need more of it, it costs more and you need to allow it to hydrate overnight; there are also some other alternatives like succinoglycan, acacia, chicory, tara gum, guar gum, MCC - it depends on what product you are creating and also your budget. Hope this gives you some ideas! Happy formulating

@@maryroseanderson252 Thank you for your reply Maryrose. I will look up this video. I have another question, I used emulsifying wax instead of beeswax for my oil based cream. When it curdled I added some beeswax. Due to these 2 combinations the cream is not as slippery as it should be. What should I do to undo this? My cream has oils and aloe Vera gel and Shea butter. Thank you once again for your support. Anita

You can use tromethamine to raise pH also. Sodium hydroxide is not caustic when used as a pH adjuster/buffer, it dissociates into its ions and is perfectly safe in a finished product if that is your concern.
@@theinstituteofpersonalcare6401 oh okay thank you very much now my mind is at ease now . Because I'm planning to sell my face cream . Can I use sodium hydroxide in my facial toner to raise the ph level as well?
Hello! Thank you so much for this video, really helpfull! I encountered during the formulation that the gum (xanthan gum) I incorporated in the glycerin in the first place, was still there when ended my cream, meaning that my cream is gummy in the end. Any inshights? Thank you in advance.
