Really? WOW! Well they are "Creative Assembly" who make the pc exclusive "Total war" series, so they know how to optimize a game for the pc while still making a good game for the consoles. mbsfaridi Yes I do, do you really trust on those sites and not in the hardware you have. I can record without issues at 60FPS using FRAPS and the game runs smooth at 70FPS average, the lower I get is 65FPS and 80FPS top. If I turn on V-Sync the frame rate goes down to 40FPS or less. Not all games runs the same on every hardware and even if you have the very same GPU as me you can or not get the very same performance. I installed Windows a day before installing the game as well so maybe that could help because having a clean OS with not so many stuff in it makes everything runs a little bit better. As I said...don't trust too much on those sites...you can get an idea of how something could run, but the actual numbers can be misleading...sometimes or most of the time they use OC's CPU's/GPU's or not the one you have, and they use those bench tests systems in where they keep changing components with not so clean driver installations and such. You are not the only one that tell me that my GPU can't get those frames and I just simply laugh. 70FPS and stable. ;) Edit: The page you gave me actually shows 1920x1200p not 1920 x 1080p.

You made me put the game again to check all that and now I want to play some lol... As I said everything to the max but confirm me something...AA the max I can put is SMAA 1Tx, and OEAP (Ambient occlusion) is at Normal (can't put more than that on my configuration). The rest is all at max or enabled (with yes)...the only thing disabled is V-Sync. Shadow map resolution the max I can put is 2048 and is what I actually use. For example in Watch Dogs because of my GPU I can't put more than medium textures, the options appear in grey and can't change textures. Is not the case in Alien Isolation but is it Ambient Oclussion = Normal the highest setting and same with shadow map resolution? Its not the engine its the brain behind game... Mirrors edge is another good example.

You have a point because The Order 1886 devs created their own engine and Doom 2016 as well. So can it be true that engine like Cryengine, Unity, Unreal, etc are just playing it safe with graphical fidelity.

Well at the time Sega were the only company allowed to make Alien related games as they held the licence (not sure if they still do with 20th Century Fox being bought by Disney). When Isolation came out they deemed it didn't sell well enough (despite selling 2.1 million copies in 2015) to warrant a sequel so they didn't bother with it. Shame really. Its the best Alien game ever made.

Yeah. Real shame. I completed this game about 7 times on pc just to feel scared by the alien.

Personally I feel like they are perfectly stable after 2019. But that's for RX Vega and a limited set of features I use. E.g. one monitor without FreeSync and occasional ingame recording in H.265. Can't remember a single GPU reset or driver related glitches in a game for years, except Elex 2 when it released. Both NVIDIA and AMD list the fixes and known issues in their release notes and they read similarly. Crashes or visual glitches in specific games/apps or issues with HW video playback are common. I didn't count the number of apps/games that crashed and had fixes in the drivers of AMD and NVIDIA, but I would be surprised if the limited market share of AMD didn't cause more issues to go unnoticed for a longer time. For a while now there is a bug reporting icon in the title bar of the Radeon Software that streamlines the feedback process and the release notes now show which pressing issues are being worked on for the next release. My impression is that the limiting factor is getting notified of crashes rapidly including during game development, because NVIDIA has CUDA and other proprietary or more adopted features that developers use.

@@mleise8292 My issue wasn't really stability, it was the inability to update drivers for whatever reason without getting errors.

@@ChrissonatorOFL Oh, that luckily never happened to me. I normally download them manually, but I just tried the self-update and noticed no issues. It's just that I don't want the installer in C:/AMD, because my SSD is smol. :o)

Also the most expensive this why this game was considered a financial flop by SEGA
