For those who have no idea, he’s created a zero clearance fence for the mitre saw and included stop blocks….. he hasn’t just “replaced the old” with no improved feature….lol.

For those full of ideas - no zero clearance in the fence... Zip. Nada. None. You want zero clearance there? Clamp a piece of ply to the fence - done. Zero clearance in the cutting area? Sure. Replace the factory plate with a ply insert - less effort required. Kinda kills the bevel cuts though, but for straight, 90 degree ones - great. Or use a cross cut sled. Better control, visibility of cuts etc... Just better.

Quitaste una pieza metalica y la cambiaste por una de madera, que obviamente tendrá menos tiempo de vida útil, solo para poner un escantillón que igual pudiste hacerlo sin quitar la pieza original, ¿Y cuando tengas que cortar piezas mas largas? tendrás que manejar un tope sobre la meza de trabajo y en realidad esa es la solución.

This is just dumb: remove original fence. Replace it with a wooden one. Continue using the saw as normal. Call it "creative." Yeah... damn click bait...

It’s called a zero clearance fence with adjustable stop blocks - quite handy.

I guess if you have time and money to waste replace the old stop with a new wood one . I didn’t get it ?.
