Sunday night I was overwhelmed and near tears for various reasons and said to the boyfriend that I might not even decorate this year because I'm just stressed with other stuff and it wasn't inspiring. Monday I dug out all the decorations and had the tree and stockings up by the late afternoon. Yeah... IDK what happened either. But bring on the heckin holly jolly because I needed it, I just hadn't been inspired to do it. IDK. Anyway, today I put lights in our bedroom window (the only one facing the street) and then decided to keep going so there's lights along the wall above our bed... then I took a nap with the lights on. Festive. I'm a decorate before thanksgiving person, too... because I hate thanksgiving so if I'm forced by everyone around me to participate in it then I must have the ho-ho-ho stuff up to perk up my mood.
@@EmiLou.Arts320 what's kind of obnoxious is the lights in the window ended up being flashing lights... they didn't flash when I tested them... and it's a weird flash lol. The lights are off for longer than they are on... so it's like we are only festive every couple seconds and only for half a second. Rather than taking them down, I'm going to try to just add more heckin lights to our window... the flashing wont be so bad if there are lights that are constantly on, ya know? fun stuff lol.
@@EmiLou.Arts320 I tested another strand of lights before adding to the flashing ones in the window. They were solid, no flashing... they worked. I put them up, plug them in.......... no heckin lights. Boyfriend comes in to troubleshoot and we got snippy with each other lol... he took my lights down, figeted with them and of course they work... then he gave me "tips" because boys know everything... and we put the lights back up together, while I was cranky. Anyway the window is now festive all the time with a bit of "pizazzz" every few seconds instead. pizazz was said with jazz hands.
OMG I thought I was the only one I knew who ate and drank in bed. Coffee and toast, cheese, crackers and wine, you name it. My favourite is to watch EmiLou and journal while consuming whatever fuels my fancy. See you in bed weasels.

I emphasize with parents with young children and having to assist them (bribe) with their schooling. I had one child with straight A’s and another child who responded to me when I asked why he got a 70 on a test with “if the state wanted me to do any better they should have raised the bar on what is a passing grade.” Hang in there girlfriend. This too shall pass (*whispers* like a turd). Lol. 😝

I’m gonna need a close up of the creepy baby on a pillow sticker if that’s the one you relate to! 🤣 we usually put up the Christmas decor on Thanksgiving afternoon. But who knows if we will have the energy this year. COVID-19 really kicked our tushies. Not sure if/when decorating will happen.
O my goodness pass the fruit snacks.. I've been in a funk this week too.. my daughter gets so mad when all the fruit snacks are gone.. she's like are you supposed to eat chocolate for that moody funk 😆😆
Glad that you made it through the week of school! My daughter got out last week on Friday & my son gets out tomorrow for his Thanksgiving break. They all go back on Tue Dec 1st though. Loved seeing you play shoots & ladders with Addie. I loved playing that game when I was younger. My youngest daughter Tristan loves to play Candyland so I usually play that with her. Hell yeah do I understand going to the sad place! Since having sepsis I've been so very sad trying to get better so I can get back to my patients. My journal & stickers help me cope too. I just am about out of stickers though. Thanks for sharing!!

Hi Emily, I am very curious about the “panda-monium” party and the items needed for this party. I know you said the other lady in your troop handeled it. What did she do? I am my daughters Girl Scout Leader and I would love to do something like this. We will be hosting a zoom “Mom & Me Tea Party” but I’m thinking of having the girls made candles inside of tea cups. Did you see the pandemic survive the apocalypse fun patch the girls can earn? It’s pretty cool. I left it up to parents to do if they wanted, so only a few of my girls are doing it. I LOVE your journaling and thanks to you I am back to doing it after a 3 year hiatus LOL. Plus I ordered me the Jane Davenport palettes so I’m excited to get them. Oh and we are Bigfoot believers in our house :)
Hi Anna! The Panda-Monium party was sooo cute. It was actually a zoom birthday party, but my friend has put together several zoom meetings/parties for our brownie troop. The girls LOVE them. I think she finds activities and games on Pinterest and then she puts together a little kit that she drops off on everyone’s doorstep with the supplies needed. It is a great idea!

Having a real struggling sort of day myself over here...so I took a break from work and watched your video. I was going to ask your preferred fruit snack of choice - then you stuck in the package haha. I am normally a not-til-after-Thanksgiving Christmas kind of person - and this year I wondered if I'd decorate at all. But I made myself do it the other day and I think I'm glad I did. My first Red Bubble order is on its way and looks like I'll be making another soon! Thank you for being a bright spot. :)

I think the ones at shine sticker studio that you can write with pen are the ‘premium matte’ ones! I’m 99% sure. I think the matte removable ones are the slick kind!😘
You say bribery, that is just parenting. Fly that flag. Also, not to minimize or make light of what you refer to as “struggles” and I know from experience what you really mean, but my friends say “taking to my bed”. They are not referring to depressive episodes, but I am when I say it and I think it classes it all up a bit. #stillnotaweasel ohhhhh I will be soon because I’m going to bribe/parent my “adult” children into doing it when they are home for Thanksgiving. If Mommy isn’t a weasel before dessert, no pie.
