[ CORRECTION ] On Xbox machines you only need to connect it via optical. USB connection does nothing. This means on Xbox series you'll need an HDMI to optical splitter. Additionally, you'll need to connect the controller via a 3.5mm cable to the mic input to be able to talk.
Great video mate! Just wondering if I run this on pc with a phone connected to line in. Can I listen to phone audio and pc audio simultaneously? And do you know if this line in would come through discord on pc (blended in with mic audio)? I’ve got one of the fifine audio interfaces now and I can listen to music through my phone but it comes though my mic channel and into discord which isn’t ideal :( Thanks mate!
Unfortunately, it failed me. Static noise and distortion sound during gameplay in PS5. It has to be switched off and on. The same problem keeps on recurring. It's so frustrating. Until now, Creative has yet to admit the faulty and refund my money.
Great, detailed review, but what's up with RU-vidrs and not mentioning the price, which may be the deciding factor for most?? Major red flag, cos you got something for free, dont wanna bite the hand that feeds, so to speak, and are disconnected from the value of things. Or is it to force people to their site to check, thereby creating traffic for them. Am I wrong? Was really good review too. Very professionally done. Shame.
It's got nothing to do with burning bridges. In this case, for whatever reason I just didn't. It is complicated though when your audience is spread across multiple countries. Normally I provide US and Australian RRP, but in all honesty, I should probably provide prices for the Pound, Euro and Canadian dollar too.
@goukigod appreciate your reply mate. I gotta be honest, I was scrolling through your channel, and your uploads are way above most others in terms of quality. They come across as very professional. It just narked me that you were lacking the one thing I wanted to know most, cos most of the time, i got no reason to watch something I'm not gonna buy, and I'm pretty sure some...let's say...'less reputable'... channels use such 'trickery'. Anyways, all the best to you mate.
I bought the Sennheiser Gsp600 gaming headset and I am not very happy with it because the sound is low. If I buy this sound card, will it increase and improve the sound? Does he recommend?
You could hijack the voice chat channel (optical in) to run in another source simultaneously, such as the PS5 and then use the chat dial to adjust the volume of this source. You can't run the the 3.5mm line in with USB simultaneously though.
@@goukigod That's perfect, thankyou! Do you happen to know if it decodes dolby so I can change a surround optical input to stereo? Either way that's not a deal breaker, Thanks for the reply that's exactly what I was looking for ❤
It has a decoder but it isn't clear how it works. Here's what it says in the settings "Play your Dolby Digital media with ease using this integrated decoder. With Dynamic Range control, wide volume swings between loud and quiet sounds can be customized to match your listening preference, all without the loss of overall sound quality."
It's best suited to pair with headsets/headphones. So the PC38X would be a good choice. I don't think you need an amp like this for IEMs unless you want the EQ and surround sound features. As far as DACs are concerned it depends on what you're using with.
I don't have much experience with standalone DACs but BadSeed Tech has some great advice in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q0pHVJeQ1jE.html&pp=ygUPYmVzdCBnYW1pbmcgZGFj
