Creative Impact Stories: Barb Mackenzie
We're always amazed by the people we meet through our community and the creative ways they've supported our organization! We’re eager to share the stories of some people who helped us make our programming possible!
Once a year, Barb hosts a workout event for her birthday and in place of gifts, her friends and family make monetary donations to Growing Chefs! Barb has run her birthday workout fundraiser for three years and the proceeds go toward our Adopt-A-Classroom program.
Our Adopt-A-Classroom fundraising initiative funds our Classroom Program experience, which provides edible education for up to 25 B.C. kids who may not otherwise have access to edible education.
We hope Barb’s volunteering and fundraising inspire you to support your community in the ways you know how!
