What an amazing guitarist 🎸 absolutely mesmerising. And Mahalia Barnes has a natural born talent just like her Dad Jimmy. Even as a kid her and her siblings had a group called ‘The Tin Lids’ and her voice was en pointe even at 9. Such a joy to watch this performance 🤘🏼

Hard to imagine anyone with any real musical knowledge thinking Joe overplays in the slightest. He playing is more tasteful, giving just what the song demands and no more, than any guitarist currently playing. His playing is consistently in service of the tune.

What a show! What a great band! Great brass section, great back up singers, Reese Wynans on keys, Biggs and Jackson. Wow! You're right, doesn't get any better. Whole show is awesome. "Cadillac Assembly Line" and "Never Make Your Move Too Soon" "Angel of Mercy" come to mind.

Hope you guys know that Mahalia Barnes is the daughter of a music Legend (Jimmy Barnes) lead singer of Cold Chisel - an iconic blues rock group from Australia. Check out Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes version of Deep Purples Lazy. And then the 2003 live version of Cold Chisel play Bow River.

If Taylor Swift with her one dimensional voice and juvenile songs has managed to make over a billion dollars from her current tour Joe, Mahalia and the band should have picked up a trillion dollars for this performance. There is simply no comparison. She's Coca Cola and Joe is fine wine.

I would love to tell some war stories on your live show. Is there somewhere I could PM you? I would start my first war story with Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes 1971 at Coe College. I just didn't want any kind of legal bullshit coming back at you. I doubt anything would. Ted Was booed off stage and it gets more interesting after that. Some funny shit and some very cool shit for me. Let me know if its ok. I just didn't want every joe blow in the world getting stupid. It's a great story you will love it.
