Coming up with my own designs for a couple of popular creatures from mythology; the snowclad Yeti and the heavily armored Dragon Turtle... and a secret creature of my own to finish it all off.

Snapping turtles in general don't bite when they're underwater, they're much more confident and relaxed in their home environment and usually would swim away from a big stompy human. It's when you encounter them on land when they're fearful and afraid, since they're slow and exposed and they know it. If you were in their shoes and approached by a giant ape while out on the land you'd get all ferocious and snappy, too.

The Plainsraptor is my favorite, also, I love putting dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals into a High Fantasy world.

It always confused me why fantasy series don't incorporate dinosaurs, like you're not limited by reality nor set on earth, so just add some dinos with unique designs

@ComicGaurdian95 Yeah, because honestly, fantasy ecosystems feel really limited and don't make sense (ironic, I know), like besides the typical mythological stock, you have basic dogs, cats, cattle, bears, deer's and rarely African animals besides lions. Like what reason does a dragon need to be incredibly large, have tons of extreme adaptations (fire and lots of spikes) when it's prey items are just mundane deer and don't have predators, it would just starve itself.

@@YEY0806 that logic makes complete sense. Dinosaurs would be both a source of food AND as good competition for dragons because they are roughly the same size of a dragon and they feel perfect being in the same environment with one another.

WOW, these look AMAZING! The Yeti is definitely Fierce looking, very Awesome! And the Dragon Turtle looks Prehistoric and Monstrous, I Love it! And the dimorphism for them is a Great idea! And I LOVE Dinosaurs in Fantasy settings! The Plains Raptor looks like a True Epic and Powerful Hunter, easily my Favorite so far! I hope their will a True Top Apex Predator Tyrannosaurus Rex as well! XD I can't wait to see more!

I love the mixture of reverse silverback with Japanese macaque for the yeti! The dragon turtle not being related to dragons is also pretty funny. I wonder how that raptor looks when its a baby chick.

Very cool designs, loved how natural they all looked It's always cool seeing interesting and cool takes on creatures in media, when I drew a Yeti a while back, I leaned more into the snowman part, so I made it a polar bear monster that is MADE of ice

I love the dragon turtle I have an idea of my own of a dragon turtle based of a red eared slider that is a dragon but has beetle like armor and can open its back armor thing to spread its wings and fly

One of my favorite yetis ever is the Northrend Yetis of World of Warcraft. Minus the spine sticking out of their back.

The Yeti is freaking awesome! Probably my favorite yeti design I’ve ever seen, it is so unique and logical, and just cool! I really hope you create a bestiary and continue this series, you are definitely becoming my favorite artist and character designer! I love the lore and the thorough considerations around your designs. Also you had it right the first time, it is mah-kak not mah-kok, macaques are such a great inspiration choice for a Yeti!

The yeti brings to mind Roboyeti from the 2001 Godzilla cartoon. It was one of my favorite monster designs in the show along with the poorly named Crustaceous Rex (clearly a mutated squid) and the Crackler, that eldrich electrical monster from very early on. Overall your monster designs are really cool. Looking forward to more.

I really love the idea of fantasy worlds with dinosaurs in it . I myself am currently writing a fantasy world where there´s this big continent where dinsaurs still live . I also decided to make it so that only dinosaurs are limited to this continent and marine reptiles and pterosaurs can go where ever they want . I don´t really wanna get into the lore of this world since it´s very long and complicated

You eluded to the possibility of a rivalry with big cats for your raptors dude they gotta have the Saber teeth maybe the whole jaws vs claws thing is a bit over done but I bet it would look amazing I'd love to see your take on some type of Saber toothed cat please

I like that you turn the dur claw of the plans raptor into a sickle claw to add the dromaeosaur like feel to it wall making unique can't wait to see the other raptor species.

Your dragon turtle reminds me of a set of dragons I designed: nothing super unique, but one consistent dimorphic trait is their nose horns: all dragons have one at birth (for use like an egg tooth), but only on male dragons is it a permanent fixture on the skull; for females it is just hardened tissue that is shed shortly after birth.
