I got a 2022 batch. Smells good projection 2-3 hours last about 6-7 hours on skin. Compared to 2021 the note of verbeno Is not so.strong so i fell It more balanced and kind of sweet. I dont know of with maceration the verbena will be more potent. By the way a good One of the best Creed for the price...
Thank you for your insight :) that’s really good performance. Tbh I don’t really like the sweetness in GIT. It smells fine but I prefer that minty sweet aspect to be very low. Yeah since verbena is more of a top note I would be interested to know if it gets stronger or weaker with time.
fragrance start young when there brand new as it age gets more power and refine. 2018-2021 when it’s aged to much it will turn into syrup and will lose all top notes. If getting old bottles don’t get anything over 5 years old because higher chance top notes are gone. This is why you like 2018-2021 better those old batches are going straight down hill.
Hello, sillage is best in 2021, leaving a noticeable (not beast however) trail for 2 sometimes 3 hours when sprayed on the liberal side. 2013 is similar but would require more sprays than 2021. 90s is the most demure. It’s initial blast is so soft already. I would attribute the better sillage on 2021 to the bracing soapiness.
I'm with my fragrances just like I am my restaurants. If they ain't CONSITANT then I don't buy from them. Creed imho is the most rip-off way overly priced brand out there. I tried samples of the recent 2022 Creed GIT and it had that fabulous opening, then it lasted for about 30mins and went 100% dead. The opening projection was strong but only lasted like 15mins. After 2hrs I didn't even smell it on my skin anymore. A almost 40yr old product they still are asking a GREEDY $300 for is simply nuts for guys that are suckers who have money to throw away. Creed should just go ahead and rename their company to GREED Fragrances. Heck, even the old English Leather by Dana use to be pricy way back in the day, and at least they came to their scenes and lowered the price so everyone could afford it. Creed is such a rip off it's amazing. You say you "Love, love, love" Green Irish Tweed, The opening is the only thing great about GIT imo, so I would HIGHLY suggest you get Alexandria's The Green Irish Gentleman EDP instead for $69 for a 60ml bottle it smells exactly like Creed GIT and has WAY BETTER projection & longevity than GIT does. And it has that fabulous opening that at least stays with it all day long as well. Unlike GIT doesn't.
I can understand everything you are saying. I agree. The performance could be better for the price. I think it’s ridiculous that their prices are so incredibly high. Even if the fake story behind the brand was real, it would still be ridiculous. I will try to get my hands on a sample of the Alexandria version. The clones out there, such as Armaf Tres Nuit, are very poor performers in my experience. Fougere L’Aube from Rogue is very similar. I might try to get my hands on a decant. It doesn’t have the same addictive quality though.
@@expansefloating4096 I totally hear & understand what your saying about the very poor performers out there like the Armaf. The Alexandria's The Green Irish Gentleman EDP is definitely not a bad performer at all it's excellent. Imo it's everything you would expect GIT to be but IT IS a performer. I'm certain you will love it. I don't know how they did it but Alexandria nailed it.
@@WrestlingErnestHemingwaylol how you mean you don’t know how they did it…..they had 35 years or more to try to create a copy of GIT, I understand clones and agree that they’re should be clones be an alternative to these brands inflated prices BUT I will always respect the house that created the scent first especially if Creed always give us a natural smelling scent always
