I love how fair you are with your reviews, always thoughtful and insightful. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of this one, but I can appreciate it has an audience. Your review has intrigued me, perhaps I should try it again!
Life is pretty rough these days, and I'm dealing with a divorce from a 30+ year marriage. I say this only to point out how amazing your persona and videos are to me! I experience such joy watching them. I grew up in L.A. and as a child, when we would drive south to San Diego, we would have to drive through Orange County. The orange blossoms were intoxicating, even to a child! The variation of the smell would be augmented depending on if it were night/day, the relative humidity, or the time of year! So when you express how certain scents affect you, I get it Big Time! Today has been a very dark day for me, as I have lost another childhood friend, and I'm in the barrel once again but, your videos shin a bit of light and they remind me to be in the present. For that I am truly grateful to you. You're AWESOME BLOSSOM!!! Peace be with you and yours.
I love this. I love what im doing and every day is joyful. I believe what your picking up on is the love I feel for whats happening around me. The gratitude in my life for every customer, every viewer. I know im connecting with you with love from the deepest part of myself. Below the words is the intention for all people who watch to be well, happy, full of love. To achieve there full potential. Ive been doing the practice for years now. Its a form of mediation. To imagine bright light flowing out of you to all beings. Seen and unseen. Wishing them well. The next step on is to use the intention through words. So Brent. I wish you well and much love in this transformative part of your life. Don't be frightened of this change. The universe wants you to be in a different part of your life to where you are now. You will rise up out of the pain and suffering and go to a new chapter in your life. Now that is exciting. Be kind to yourself, Be compassionate to yourself and have the expectance to feel the deep pain and loss your going through. When we except pain we can move through it. Pushing pain away makes it more painful. I will put a link to a mediation I want you to listen to. Its called soften. sooth and allow. It helped me get over my last abusive relationship 4 years ago. I believe it will help you. It is free and nothing to do with me.
The way you enunciate words such as "patchouli", "chocolate", "neroli" just to name a few are so relaxing to hear. Loving your reviews Aaron, keep up the great work.
Excellent review. Neroli is my all time favourite scent. I've been searching for ages for a perfect neroli fragrance. Creed Neroli Sauvage, and Floris Neroli Voyage were pretty much the best I'd found, until I purchased SLUT. Nothing compares to the natural aromas of SLUT. Pure artistry
Deliciousness, almost sort of like a greenish Carolina jasmine. I used to really be into horticulture and grafting. I had a citrus tree that was a bitter lemon rootstock and grafted about nine or ten different citrus fruits onto it! It was always blooming and bearing fruit! The aromas it produced were pure magical romance. Thank you so much for your reviews.
I learn something new with every vid. Wonderful that you teach us about the ingredients! Anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get a bottle of your Onyx here in the U.S.
Very good review Sir Aaron. Great that you like Neroli Sauvage by Creed. I hope you will do a review on Guerlain Vetiver Extreme version and Prada L'Homme L'eau and Intense on your great channel. The Neroli in Prada L'Homme L'eau is very nice and potent.
I love Neroli Sauvage and I think your review was amazing. This scent gives me nostalgia for some reason. Do you have any other recommendations for neroli fragrances that you like?
Hi Aaron! Always glad to see a video from you! Today's question is: What is your favorite winter fragrance, and how would you change the formulation to still have that DNA, but to be a summer fragrance? And don't you dare say 'just add more citrus' 😜
This isn't an easy one for me. I dont see summer or winter fragrance. Personally I love Onyx. Boss bitch and the new Rose all year round. Im waring the new Rose all the time atm. They are heavy, dark and oud based. But my DNA is 53% Jewish and then 30% German/French and then 19% English and then 1% African. So I think my skin is heavy and dense. So citrus doesn't sit well on it. I think fairer skin types suit citrus/summer scents. But thats from a personal thinking. Lighter/ozonic/summer fragrance are built completely different. So the choice of raw materials would be very different.
What I really enjoy about your reviews is that you're honest. I feel these niche brands have marketed themselves really well. I have always wondered if they were being truthful with us when talking about ingredients. This helps us as fragrance enthusiasts really understand the value of the process and ingredients. Also helps us know which companies are truthful and charging us based on their actual cost of fine ingredients or just to pay their marketing. Thank you.
Bear in mind that they sell to the company that sells them for 50% the cost. But I find it dishonest to. Don't say Oud, Neroli or rose if you dont use it. Say Oud accord. I couldn't do that. But then my brand is art, love and unicorns before profit.
Beautiful review. If you ever decide to leave the fragrance making game. You would make one hell of a symphony conductor. Your hand movements are mesmerizing
Really enjoyed your comments on the neroli compound, would love to hear more about the materials the perfumes are made as well as those safety recommendations!
On your upcoming video on how to make fragrances last longer, will you differentiate the effects between lotion and occlusives like Vaseline? I've asked around and searched google but nobody seems to know which is best, or why which is best. Thank You!!
I also love neroli and always have some essential oil in my collection. It proves to be very hard to work with, because it's extremely intense and has the ability to pierce through the blend, if it's not robust enough. I love to pair it with single citruses to simulate their blossom. I do the same with jasmine, but neroli creates more realistic citrus blossom accords. The most beautiful so far was the lemon blossom accord. It brings nature inside the house.
Hey aaron, think you could take a look at van cleef and arpels neroli amara, and ysl tuxedo, two very nice fragrances. I'd be interested in seeing how the neroli amara compares. great review!
Have you reviewed Tom Ford's Tabbac Vanille yet arron, love that stuff. The opening reminds me of a sweet I used to buy years ago called 'jawbrakers' true story. Great review cheers.
does this smell anything like neroli portofino? personally ™ neroli portofino smells terribly awful and artificial to me and im still interested in this scent
It blows neroli Portofino out of the water. NP doesn’t perform, and it’s feminine leaning. Neroli Sauvage is a real classy fragrance, a bit gritty, marine, lots of lemon and grapefruit, and very smooth neroli
I like you like to wear real neroli fragrances. Atelier makes a great on. called Grand Neroli. This is a must have for Neroli lovers! Matter of fact I'll make it the my scent of the day 😊🙌thanks for inspiring me today!!!
Sleeper fragrance and I like it because I can get the bottle at a decent price on reputable discounters. Major compliments and I never reveal what I’m wearing. Gate Keeping!
I’m commenting even before watching this. I live in a hot climate and I love a tropical/summer scent. VIW, Erolfa, Still Life In Rio 3 of my favourites. I’ve tried everything from Creed but this is 1 I haven’t for 2 reasons. 1 - the performance is apparently absolutely terrible and 2 - there’s so many Neroli type scents that can be had for cheap (I have Ferrari Bright Neroli and it does the job) I couldn’t spend $300+ on this when I got the Ferrari for $50 (that’s a good price on Australia) the fact that this is the only Creed I haven’t tried has me excited!
A 17 ounce falcon of this in the US is on sale for $455 from fragrancenet. After the Blackrock buyout of Creed I've read this may be discontinued. It's lovely as Aaron says and it might be a good idea to take advantage of this offer. I just did.
Great review as ever mate, Neroli is my bogie note, I can never seem to enjoy it. I do in some where it's very blended in a you don't notice it. But I guess we all have tricky notes that don't really agree with us 🙂
Isn’t ambergris from whales? I thought you said you wouldn’t wear or test anything again that contains any animal materials Or am I wrong?? Sorry if I am
Its one of my favourite movies.(Would never kill and put people in animal fat then boil them) My actual favourite bit from a film is in second science of the lambs (Habbible) when they take the hand cream sample to perfumes and they tell her whats in it. That had a massive impact upon my life. If you havnt seen it go have a look. That bit had a really amazing effect upon the brain. Sort of like a knowing. Thats what I am and what I must do feeling from the universe. Like a knowing.
@@AaronTerenceHughes Here Here, order in the court! NEVER apply fragrance on freshly suntanned skin, ALWAYS use peanut oil to cook humans, and please BE kind to dogs! And unicorns! Especially unicorns. Peace out...
I've learned such a great deal of knowledge about fragrances thanks to the hard, and very passionate, work of ATH! Kudos to you Aaron. I have always adored fragrances, my Italian family would slosh it all over themselves, lol. But after "studying" fragrances with you, my nose has gotten educated as well! I am starting to "understand" more about the craft, and the more I learn, the harder it is to please my tastes. Waiting on a Nasomatto Pardon decant to arrive. You made it sound so delicious! Thanks for all you do!!!!!!!!
Interesting. I’ve worn Creed original vetiver for years and it used to have a animallic note which I presumed was the real ambergris creed uses as a selling point. I no longer pick that up which makes me think they no longer use it.
Yes but the Rochas smells slightly more synthetic. I have both and while Rochas is good Neroli Sauvage elevates this scent profile to its highest form in my opinion.
