I think what i like about your vids the most is the fish you catch look like the fish i catch,and most folk end up catching a majority of the time,not as many as you,but im trying!lol

Well while your fishing its like you don't want to stop to eat. I don't even think about food while im fishing usually. But when I stop fishing I'm like man I'm starving lol. That was another beautiful creek. I ordered some of those hellgramites from Nikko so hopefully I can catch as many fish on them as you do. 😆👊👍

Been a long time since I've got to smally fish and Even longer since ive gotten to sight fish for them. I do get a chance every once in a while for lake bass fishing. Beauties too. Fish on my friend.

Great day on the stream, for certain! That underwater bit at the end ... Was that bass pushing a sculpin away from the nest? He'd nudge it, it would move away 4", he'd nudge it again, rinse and repeat. Do you even have sculpins in your streams? Here on the West coast, some call them stone suckers. Cool footage! We have those longears down here (Louisiana), in the headwaters of the rivers I fish; they like moving water, and outnumber the bluegills as long as there's some current. Apparently they are strictly daytime, sight feeders - once it starts to get dark, they stop hitting. They disappear further down the rivers, where they start to get tidal.

Love the crickhopper. I had just got my teeny r 4 pack on a Monday, fished with it on Wednesday and had a big bluegill take it under some brush and I lost it 😭😭
I'm an old man now. In my younger days I spent many an hour roaming the woods, following creeks, fishing. I dressed for protection from stickers, chiggers, ticks, etc. etc. I'm amazed at how many young folks roam the woods, etc, in short pants. Is there less ticks, chiggers, stickers and such today? 🤷♂️
No its much worse honestly just depends on where you are here in southern Missouri I went camping in July and was eaten alive by chiggers all kinda stuff it was so bad my legs were just raw i couldn't sleep but thats the price.you pay to catch some biggins
@@sparkablizzy9983 Here in rural N.C. I learned early on to wear heavy blue jeans and stout shoes or boots when roaming the woods and creeks. Even when wading the creeks. Too many snapping turtles and snakes in the creeks for me to feel comfortable with bare legs. Stepped on a broken beer bottle once while wading, went clear thru my boot into my foot.
Let me know when you're planning to come again and I can check the river for you. I'm not getting to get to go much myself right now because of work load, but I live really close by. Phenomenal fishing here gor shoalies, spots, and some largemouth, and some good stripes during the summer closer to the lake

Great day of fishing!! Question for you: how would you rig for a creek that has more quick moving water than slow? I hit a creek the other day and I just didn't seem to have the right tackle to keep the bait/lure from being 30 feet downstream as soon as it hit the water. I'm still learning the creek fishing and see to struggle in certain water flows. Thanks for any help and/or advice.
Watch all your videos, first time commenting, but did you notice many of these small mouth had black spots on their belly? That normal? Never seen that before. Even the rock bass had a few black spots on the body.
