This is literally my fav cover of creep ever!! I never liked the covers when people started screaming too much on this, it never required that, I always thought it should have been softer and prettier (but still filled with bitter emotion... because dammit, seriously she's got that unique kind of voice that is soooo emotive)...and olivia just finds this perfect balance..it's just..exactly what I've always wanted in the song Happy belated birthday Olivia and keep being the wonderful girl you are
@@majoradams I have heard prince's version and just because tons of people love it doesn't mean I have to too. I just don't like the grittier versions of creep..it just isn't the ideal aesthetic for me. I'm not comparing singing prowesses in any way, nor am I saying that olivia's version is objectively better..infact, looking at the response from the audience, the opposite would have more merit. I just don't feel the versions that have so much distortion. They don't appeal to me, as they don't deliver the song as well to me. No bias against distortion either, I love it, just not in this song. I like the way Radiohead made it..and olivia's voice just fits the best for me. For tons of people, the prince's version is even better than the original and I can totally see from another viewpoint how that would be. The guy's a genius. The guitar solo was stil majestic though. I had really liked that.
wow, this cover is so jaw-dropping. like her vocal range is mind-blowing and the runs and the high and low notes are fantastic. everything is just amazing and perfect. i hope that she makes some songs where she exposes this type of singing and belting and powerful singing, instead of only low-range songs and only falsetto songs (which is still very impressive)
This is my fav cover music of all the time, Olivia is incredible and I was so sad that she deleted it bc I was listening to it literally EVERYDAYS, but gosh ty I found it 🥰
I don’t know why but whenever I hear this song, I burst into tears and Olivia Rodrigo is making it worse since it is killing me. Her voice and her piano. She is so talented.

If you really think this silky cover is even remotely comparable to the original, there are serious problems. It is not enough to have a good voice and transform a painful song like this one (which first of all talks about discrimination and self-acceptance), into a mushy pop song along the lines of a joke among teenagers (see the whole album "SOUR"), to understand the real meaning of a song.
this beautiful girl with this beautiful voice doesnt really fit in the soul of the song in my mind... and i really believe that Mr. York has a much warmer deeper voice( no offense Olivia) :)
