Here's how to play Creep by Radiohead - it's actually a lot easier than you might think! Flight NUC 310 Concert Ukulele: amzn.to/2fGtxQG My ukulele advice blog: www.GrabYourUke.com
Ok, so (thanks to you) I can play it. I can also sing it. Now how the hell do I combine the two?? This is much harder than it sounds, trying keep up both rhythms.
Steve Zakharov I play guitar but It should work. Try writing out when to change chords on top of the lyrics. Practice singing while only strumming each chord once so you can get used to the timing, once you get the hang of it you should be able to do it with the strumming he showed. Hope this helped!
what alexandra said is very helpful. really the hardest part of ukulele is the strumming pattern in my opinion so make sure you 100% have that down, then learn when to switch chords and just sing along as you normally would.
For people confused on how to Barre properly without it sounding mute is all in the pressure your thumb applies. You don't usually use your thumb much when playing the ukulele, but if you put your thumb right on the back of the ukulele and apply a little bit of pressure, it allows your finger something to push against. This helps deliver a clearer, better sound. He also has a video that explains it much better if you're still confused. I'm still a beginner myself and haven't perfected it yet, but it definitely helps! 👍😋
When you were here before Couldn't look you in the eye You're just like an angel Your skin makes me cry You float like a feather In a beautiful world And I wish I was special You're so fuckin' special But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here. I don't care if it hurts I want to have control I want a perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice When I'm not around You're so fuckin' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here.
It made my day to see that you had done a tutorial on "Creep" it is one of the top songs I wanted to play from day 1 I got my uke, last week. Love the channel, Sir.
I love your tutorials so much, you taught me how to play the ukulele which then helped me with learning acoustic, so all my music skills are down to you. GIANT THANKS
I figured out an easier way!! It’s a little off tune but it works because since the song is mostly minor it sounds like it’s intended to be off tune. With a capo on the 2nd fret, i play F, A, C, and then C but with my pointer finger on the C string as well So the last chord looks like this 1- - 2 on the third fret from where I put the capo (originally 5th fret without capo) This is probably really confusing but it works for me I just tried to match the notes as close as possible and it works for the most part :)
love your work mate. easy to follow and having the chords there is great. played guitar for years but only had a uke for 2 days. you are making it easy and fun to learn many thanks
I remember when I was a teenager thinking, "Some day the music I'm listening to will be called an 'oldie.'" And here I am, finding Creep in an oldies play list. Time to go cry and listen to Radiohead! Edit. OMG! THIS WAS ADDED 8 YEARS AGO! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
shannibearstar try to make a full bar with your index finger on a random fret and place your thumb right behind the neck and try to pinch with your thumb and index finger. eventually you'll get it, i had trouble with it too
I'm super late on this but if you have trouble with it still, play an E chord, and then move all of your fingers up a string. It sounds exactly the same 😌

I've heard some people have problems with the strumming and if you do, just listen to the song over and over. It works with anything. It gets ingrained in your memory and you pick it up much faster.
Omg. I am going to buy myself one this week. I tried teaching myself how to play guitar as a kid before the internet existed and couldn't do it. This has got to work. Hope my fingers won't hurt as much as with the guitar back then.
You can cheat by pressing on the 1st string of the 3rd fret for C, then press the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings on the 3rd fret for Cm (I use middle finger for 1st and 2nd string, then index finger for 3rd). I also cheat my B by pressing 1st and 2nd stings of 2nd fret (with my middle and index finger, respectively), then 3rd string of 3rd fret with ring finger and 4th string of 4th fret with pinky finger. REMEMBER these are cheats and not the real way you should play. But, I find they work for me.
OMGmynameisLILI I️ have the same problem :/ and I’m a pretty big strong dude lol. I️ think it’s just finesse and it takes practice to learn. I’m trying!

I found it easier for me to play the G chord by doing what you did for the B chord but I put my middle finger (third fret) on the second string instead of the third. I'm still new at playing ukulele and I just wanted to try an easier way to play.
Been waitting for this.cover for a while. Really liked it!!! May i suggest Kids by Mgmt. It was one of my favourites long ago and about a week ago starred to listen to.it.again. thanks for all you and keep up with the good work i really enjoy the new changes.
Tip for B-maj. Instead of barring the entire second fret just bar down the last two frets with your pointer finger. It lessens the stress of holding down the fret (but still build that strength) and makes it a little easier to slide down.
Add your pinky below your ring finger every chord and lift it. Add a little extra plus it's done in the song. I'm a guitarist and coming to ukulele there are a lot of tricks sorta left out I feel that sound good on ukulele too
Thank you, +The Ukulele Teacher, I really enjoy your lessons! You make learning so much fund! Can you also teach us how to play No Surprises from Radiohead? Please?
I'm just starting and wondering, the chords you show us here are different compared to the ones I know. Do I have to tune my ukulele different now? I mean isn't C actually just 3rd fret 4th string? I hope someone answers me fast, really looking forward playing this Song :)

To all you newbie ukers: if moving from the G to the B is too challenging then you might want to try this alternate fingering for G: Bar the 2nd fret as in the B but make the fingering for the F chord (i.e. finger the 4th fret for the G string and the 3rd fret for the E). This is a G. Now to move from a G chord to B just pick up one finger and move it from the E string to the C. Easy peezy. Except for the part about barring for the whole song without a break but we all know you have a really strong wrist -- and we all know why!
We love you too, you're so great!! Thanks and can I request Jack Johnson, one of the best. Perferably one of his newest songs from his album, From Here To Now to you? ♡♥♡ you rock
I ordered a uke because of you! You make it look so easy and effortless! Now I'm excited to finally get my uke. I would also like to request if you could show how to play Blank Space - Taylor Swift. Cheers! :)
I love that song it's one of my favorites of all time and space in gonna start practicing those chords right now! !!! Do you hink you could teach the chanters song it's like an old celtic Harp tune I think would need to be fingerpicked idk if you know it but that would be awesomesauce ^^
