Amanda Lissie I love high quality music and films but it’s nice to watch old movies on VHS or listen to old soundtracks on vinyl. The lack of fidelity makes for a different experience and improves the quality of most special effects.
@@amandalissie6418 vinyls get a full-ranged sound that cd's could never get...only thing cd's excel at is sounding digitally clear. There's a difference between getting a clear sound and getting everything you want out of the listening experience...plus some surface noise on occasion. Vinyls have been around the longest and are far more collectable than cd's, too.

I remember watching this one for the 1st time with my Mother, in a very old-style theater. I was around 10-11. It was amazing. The place was erupting with terror & laughter!!
This soundtrack is so unique. I would dare say the its 50/50 between horror and whimsical/beautiful music that really makes you feel good. But the genius is how quickly it can transition between the two. Thanks for sharing.

My favorite part of the theme song as well. That creepy yet catchy tune and I have loved it since I first heard it back in the early 90s as a 10 year old and I will be 43: this year old I still absolutely love it and even find myself humming it every single day. 💪💯😂😂
One of my favorite soundtracks. I love the lietmotif that plays during Old Chief Woodenhead and The Hitchhiker. I also love how the soundtrack constantly weaves these upbeat/love songs into the music for no apparent reason except to twist the tone so that you're never truly creeped but never truly comfortable. Just like the original, it doesn't want to scare you so much as give you some icky feeling under your skin that you can't shake. I feel like that's more effective because it just leaves stuff hanging, not unlike those eerie synths that wash you with dread and nostalgia and then flip the script as soon as you think it's about to end the piece.
Only those people who feels the vibrations of this music in the blood, remembering the movie can penetrate in this old elegant horror dream. Hope to be understood. I am italian

The original story for the Raft is so messed up. The monster in the water emits beautiful colors that makes people want to jump in. The last guy at the end basically starves after waiting out the monster for days, constantly standing on the planks of wood, Finally he gives in and stares at the blobs colors. Letting himself be lulled into jumping in, praying that he won’t be able to feel the pain.
Where's the time gone, absolutely love this movie the first more so.Reminds of the Blob remake cause that's an absolute banger.Come out the same sort of time.Btw I was a child!
The Hitchhiker is the best story, Stephen King said it was inspired by the crushed cyclist from Faces of Death (1978). He said that would be the most frightening dead body to come after you
you know it’s funny because as a kid I love this movie I first saw it when I was about 10 years old and immediately upon seeing the Raft, I was horrified. I always remember whenever the movie came on TV. I wanted to skip past the first story and get right to the second one. Now, however, as an adult, the first one is actually my favorite. It had such a creepy vibe to it that was just under the surface, but I didn’t realize that as a kid. Now, when I hear this music track, it still sends shivers of creepiness down my spine .
Great sequel! Saw it in theaters at age five in St. Louis with my family as we saw the first one 2 months prior to the theatrical release of the sequel as I remember seeing the trailer to creepshow 2 when I saw lethal weapon in theaters. Nice score

love the opening theme of the hitchiker brings on back to classic times when one was on the go and traveled as to what seemed carefree with no problems or worries!

Why oh why did Waxwork decide to include sound effects and dialogue in the opening and all the animated parts? If I wanted that, I could just rip it from the movie! The rest of this sounds so great, I wish we had ALL the music isolated...
There's also 3 cues total missing which irritates me solely because this release is touted as "complete" when it's a good minute or two shorter than the real complete score.
Yes it's crap. Wait for a decent company like Intrada to release it properly and take all that crap out of it. No one wanted it this way. FFS release a CD! And that awesome song 'DRIVING TILL THE EDGE OF TIME' is missing. Complete my ass.
Mariella Linson It's impossible to release "Driving to the edge of time" because of licensing issues. The music is from a production music library, so they paid to use it in the movie but they're not allowed to release it on their own CD

I hate this so called release. We campaigned to get proper CD release of this movie soundtrack for years and this shit is what we are 'rewarded' with!! Fuck this company. Not only have they put it out on a dead format that most collectors don't want, they've covered it with all the shitty dialogue over the top. Genius work.

I always wondered what the classical song is that Annie plays in the car when she turns radio on and it skips to a classical channel. Anybody know? It played when I was put on hold when I called a friend at her job. I had her call my voicemail and put line on hold so I could have it on a saved voicemail and still have it 9 years later.
