I find it hilarious how one ending has Bison looking evil with ominous music and holding the world under his grip while the narrative text describes how evil he is... then ends with calling him a "scum bag". XD
+Logan I bet Brevon could. Then again, they're both evil... they might join forces... But Brevon doesn't give any shits. He'd probably mind control Bison!
C. Viper: I'll try to take him down. I reported all of the offensive posts that he posted, and they were removed by the administrators. Time to get down to business.
The ending is still evil, which is why the user called it a bad ending. Imagine if you beat the game with Bison, and then Bison seems to be talking to you, and he says mean things against you. If he said mean things against me, even though I helped him, that would probably creep me out.
Fun Fact: The Arcade Version of Alpha 3 is the only version that doesn't let you continue at the final battle. All other versions give you the option to continue, even at the final battle.
Oooh, but you do not see it, young one! It is that, in truth, the man's own demon was itself. As such, that battle was solely spiritual! Nah, Capcom just didn't think of anyhing else. Problem? #1900'sArcadeProblems
+Cancer auvergnat Game Theory: Is Bison mental? Is Bison Ryu's father? What if Bison is actually the good guy? What if Bison is Dan in disguise? But hey... :V
3:30 Now all we need is for the game to remember if you got this ending and change the story mode based on it. You would no longer be able to play as members of the organization, and playing with other players would change the normal story into a desperate fight for survival and a futile attempt to bring the organization down.
I'd love to see more games that push a constant feeling of hopelessness ("it's too late, no one can save us") to force you to feel like you have to try.
And how you change it back is you have to win as one of the non organization characters And there should also be an option where you can disable the story mode changing
11:04 TBH, that is kind of interesting. A game where the bad ending if your playing as the villain is the "Golden" ending for everyone else. I like it. :)
How to play Street Fighter 3 Step 1: Play as Bison Step 2: Beat the shit out of everyone Step 3: Let Ryu kill you Step 4: The most satisfying Game Over in video game history
Interesting fact of Street Fighter Alpha 3, in the Sega Dreamcast and PSP ports you can actually retry the final battle against Bison, Ryu or Shin Akuma (I don't know about the other ports have that second chance, but at least the Alpha anthology collection for PS2 doesn't have any second chances), by the way, Evil Ryu doesn't have a proper bad ending against Shin Akuma, it uses Bison's Instead, and in the terrible GBA port Shin Akuma actually have a (not so good) ending by failing the final battle as Evil Ryu.
+pikangs In the playstation port you can also retry the final battle. I know because I still have my copy and I remember trying to get the endings multiple times for the characters that I'm not good to use.
Okay...So I guess I'll avoid those copies of the game until I can win against Bison without losing the fight...Stupid Super Combo...It's the reason why I don't attack him often.
Dan is best combatant! Dan can win the finals! Dan kicks all their asses! Dan can do the best moves! ... Up until you realize what you're doing with your life.
And with that, at the time of this comment, I have finished watching the Creepy Bad Ending series. Boy am I glad that they had shown up in my recommended section. I like what I see and plan to watch other series as well.
After this video I took a break from watching CBE video's... You should've seen the look on my face when I came back in late september and saw how many more videos you made 😱
"Capcom were determined to make the final battle against him [Bison] as intense as possible, even at the cost of receiving extra money! That's pretty admirable of them, but perhaps this sort of thing is why they're such in dire straits today." That and the fact that they only promoted Darkstalkers: Resurrection in Japan and literally nowhere else, expecting sales for it to do well, and when sales DIDN'T go well for Darkstalkers: Resurrection (because, AGAIN, Capcom ONLY PROMOTED IT IN JAPAN), they blamed us for not being interested in a new Darkstalkers game. So yeah, the downfall of Darkstalkers was Capcom's fault and they blamed the fans for it.
I love your videos, you really take your time to look at games that are rarely seen, and you have such good game series, keep up the good work git, you are amazing
This was a pretty fun episode! I loved your comment about people celebrating the player's death XD Also, I love the little factoids about Lub Lub at the end of each video! I've got an idea for one: "All information about Lub Lub is false and true all at the same time. Except for when it isn't." I dunno if you've already used that one or if it's even that good, but Lub Lub is fun to think about~
Fighting Game endings are very interesting because there tends to be a variety of characters to choose from with various wants. There are some characters you wouldn't expect there to be a good ending for, like in Injustice 2. And to avoid spoilers, I will avoid telling you who gets a good ending. But the same can be said for characters that have surprisingly depressing endings, despite their good intentions.
Ryu's Alpha 3 ending is cool because it shows various interactions with the characters. I feel that characters are usually very isolated in their own storylines, but this particular ending just feels like a Street Fighter plot.
Still doesn't beat the ending to Street Fighter II: The Movie. Bison driving a big rig ready to run down Ryu and Ryu just jumping at it like it ain't no never mind. That was always creepy, yet badass.
yeah, I've noticed that famous players such The Git and the AVGN usually do poorly at fighting games. It's as if people who focus on the artistic production of videoing their gaming exploits aren't in possession of some sort of gene that predisposes them to in-game fighting.
+Mark Ganus Or maybe fighting games demand the hell out of bullshit like rote memorization so excessively. Watch the massacre WITG went through. He got hit at 60-70% of his health left and was unavoidably killed at that point. By fucking AI. That's a fucking ridiculous entry barrier.
+Master Knight DH The King of Fighters is another game that comes to mind. It's easy to screw up and lose control of the fight and get killed in under 10 sec. you have to really get used to the AI of the computer-controlled characters and master all the special moves, which are hard to pull. Eastern Asian players do much better at this sort of game, but it's because they dedicate an insane amount of time to practice
So we end up with Asian male stereotypes. Le Sigh. People shouldn't be wondering why the fighting game communities are considered toxic. They can claim that calling them out for saying things like "git gud" and "no johns" are bullshit attempts at standards, but when the games themselves are hard enough, well, I remember this Ed Edd n Eddy episode where Eddy and Rolf did this competition that involved rough stuff, some of which I would LOVE to see Sarah or Nazz go through without complaint, and Eddy, just because he lost, let's ignore that it was by one lousy second with his pointed out stats disadvantage, gets badly mocked. People are rightly pissed with the kids for that sort of shit happening all the time, and this moment is obviously included. There should be a variety of ways to "git gud" anyway. It would provide Squishy Wizard players the tools to fight back, preferably without needing to resort to degenerate behavior themselves. Not some rote memorization garbage. Games should be kept easy to learn, hard to master. It would encourage players to go ahead and play other games when things get too frustrating, because you don't lose a lot of skill at a given game for taking a break from it. It's a tried and true formula.
(0:26) Yup. I dunno why, but I rarely seem to like competitive games. That's not always true, but I don't like even a single Smash nor Kart game. Mario Party's OK, but I don't have any friends. (2:20) MOTHER RUSSIA! (4:42) Come on! Bus is one of my primary ways of getting around! Now I can never go to a bus again. >->
