The curator is uncle Stan from gravity Falls he’s a trickster. The skip man is a CD player. It does not record, but you can just listen to music that’s already on the disc

In this episode, Wally apparently a rich boy who love the countryside and we got cameo not just from Kermit the Frog but also the creator of Gravity Falls: Alex Hirsch. By the way dude, Gravtiy Falls is still a big deal after a decade it was air. Really should check it after Amphibia

It's quite ironic but also sad that Wally couldn't follow the advice he himself gave to Anne about not caring what the others think of you. As for the second part of the episode - the series' creator Matt Braly also worked on "Gravity Falls" so here we have an entire episode filled with references to the previous show
