I'm local to all these, note, it's pronounced "laroosh" the 'ch' is soft. You taught me something new about Pringle's. I'm glad you added some lesser known things. The Cougar, Garden Grove and their Feed Me mural, and Alien are all new...locals like to put statements on the sidewalk underneath the magnifying glass but you missed it, currently it's a Cincy Reds baseball sticker with anti war propaganda on it. Lee's is the best chicken around, the people you saw there were unfortunate to need help at the soup kitchen next door. The cathedral is by far the most beautiful building for miles. The Spaceship House is featured in a lot of local murals, like on the Kroger mural down from cathedral which you missed. Thank you for putting us on the map!
@@karenhill4136 You can't without permission, it's privately owned and the are generally private people who don't give tours to just anyone. He was lucky to catch them on a good day...
Always love seeing the old Midwest stomping grounds videos. I’m so ready for KI to open, and now I’m craving Lee’s… These were some neat roadside stops. Safe travels!
Now this was a good, great, awesome video. I love them all but back roads and travel odd vlogs are the best. Sure wished you do more of these.. sometimes people don't see their own greatest.. 💯 hugs and prayers ❤️ 🙏
great vlog!!! my mother in law is buried not very far at all from the Bauer family is buried. we were there yesterday, sad I missed you! glad you enjoyed yourself in my hometown.
Hey Tampa Jay, I enjoyed your Cincinnati video. I'm from from Cincinnati I was born in 1962 and I can remember being 5 or 6 years old and along with my siblings we would wave at the big Indian sign and he would wave back as we would drove by.. they used the Indian in their commercials by saying this, "WHERE PADDOCK MEETS VINE AT BIG INDIAN SIGN!" I used to get teased about my last name (Craddock)and the Indian. I also thought that you would want to know that the cougar right down the street wasn't put on that roof in the 60s. Just a couple miles from where you were there was a Lincoln Mercury dealer on Reading Road where the cougar actually debuted and remained until sometime in the 2000's.. sorry, I just thought you would like to know the correction on the cougar and hearing from someone that has seen Indian Joe waving. Haven't seen the arm wave in 40+ years, and haven't seen it lit up for 30+ years. Thanks, Jeff
Last time I was at Kings Island was as a teen in the 70s! Awesome park. BTW, Don't forget the FREE Museum of the Air Force in Dayton next time you visit Southern Ohio!
Good afternoon Tampa j the first big boy you went to the statue was Mr Red Legs. I hope you can come back to the Cincinnati area to look at the castle on the inside and the gardens. Also Loveland has the frogman. Ask Jacob the carpetbagger about the Loveland frogman.
The myth was that he hated guns, but my family knew the guy personally, and they went hunting with him yearly, using guns... he was loaded down with shotguns, 30-30s, pistols... He loved his guns.. he also had 2 cannons out front of his castle till his death, and the city removed them.... Love your show though... just subscribed but seen many episodes..
Tampa Jay, thank you for visiting my hometown of Cincinnati! I live in Tampa now, too, but I miss Cincy and seeing some of my favorite places like the Art Museum just made me smile! I don't have as many opportunities to visit as I'd like. ❤
I miss Big Boy so much. We had Marc's Big Boy around Wisconsin. They tried to bring one back and did so a few years back, but it clearly was a rip off as it was nothing like Big Boy. Wife and I hit one in Ohio on our way back from watching the Brewers play in Pittsburgh and later against the Indians. Now THAT was a true Big Boy. Thanks for trip down the gastronomic memory lane!
USS LEXINGTON Air CRAFT Carrier Haunting on the Blue Ghost Haunted house Corpus Christ tx Tamp J, great video on Cincinnati Ohio and Kentucky, Too bad you did not have a chance to go into the castle, Just wondering does the castle do a haunted house in the month of october?? Great video on the roadside giants, Abe L, Pinocchio, the green alien, Just wondering were the homeless really homeless or were they aliens, Because you also located the spaceship. In our Hometown. Of Corpus Christi, we don't have big boys. We would have to drive 2 hours North to San Antonio, Texas for a big boy burger and they are good. But in texas everyone here eats a Whataburger 🍔
Hope you enjoyed your time here in the Cinci area. I was born and raised just north of cinci. You were there just a few days early, Reds opening day is Thursday. Reds Opening day in Cinci is wild. They shut part of the city down and have a big parade and events all over the city up to the game. We will be there for sure. Lots of cool historic stuff in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. I highly suggest spending a few days exploring the areas next time your up here. If you want any tips or ideas let me know. Safe Travels!
Josh, the guy that does Urbex and Ghost Hunting, came to the castle with a bunch friends at night and got inside. It's really cool inside, it's just like you picture a castle and dungeon would look like.
Good to see you in Ohio! I am born & raised & live North of Dayton. Was living in Orlando,Florida last few years. That’s where I started watching you from Adam the Woo. Love Frisch’s Big Boy. Carpetbagger was in Dayton yesterday at the Air Force Museum. So cool to see you guys in Ohio. 😊
Cool stuff Tampa… I live three exits up from Covington.. Buttermilk Pike… Next time you are here you need to find the Ghost Ship in Petersburg KY.. it’s close to CVG airport headed west towards Indiana. It was actually the boat in the Madonna Papa Don’t Preach video fyi!! But it’s really creepy and cool.. Loved your video and I am a huge horror fan too.. If you are ever in NKY in October you should see my house and how much cool Halloween stuff I have… Safe Travels my dude
Thanks for the video. We're heading to Cincinnati in a couple weeks for a gathering, then heading out of town on Monday to observe the eclipse in a state park area with a friend from California 😊 The spaceship house is called the Futuro House. It's a tourist attraction.
Jay, the alien is named Clive. He's part of an art project and was installed by AlloyFX. There are a dozen of these art installations scattered around the city.
Jay I was thinking to myself That Reds guy looks like the Pringles guy then you said it 😆😆😆PS Kings Island is were they filmed a episode of the Brady Bunch
When you were at the church in Covington you should of walked to the side of the building . Largest stain glass window in ky... btw you were very close to gravity hill when you went to the space ship house..
TRAVEL vids are killing it, curbside lunch at 8:05..not a very good road side attraction however...i actually yelled NO at my screen..COME ON JAY..LOLING!!
that castle reminds me of the corpsewood manor in deep woods of georgia ? i think-- but much much grander scale perhaps u have gone there and done a video ? that guy was amazing in his 60s and 70s doing that construction
Adam the woo is no longer doing videos at the end of the year your going to have to take his place my freind you have some big shoes to fill my freind hope your up for the challenge
There are dozens of those baseball statues around town in cincy. They are one of the reds mascots. Not big boy. Although I see why someone would think that.
Hey Jay! Going to assume you mean Hancock Co Indiana. There is a HANCOCK CO Ohio also. I would also guess that BAUR (German) may be pronounced as BOWER (take a bow)
So the question is if you were to be buried in a Pringles can what flavor would it need to be? I think I would need to choose pizza because of my Italian heritage. Plus the alien was made by March Phelps who own art studio AlloyFX. But what is cooler then the artist name is all the back story for Clive the alien who is a Squizzle from the galaxy Artalon.
Answer to the question where did the alien in the Covington Ky parking garage come from... it's name is Clive. It was created by Alloyfx he's made w fiberglass and styrofoam he was part of a project known as Quality of Place Program which works to enhance the physical appearance ofthe city's business districts. Clive is one of a dozen art projects around the city. He is built into the Midtown Parking Garage but he will only be staying a limited time.
Bobs big boy is better. It's up in Northern Ohio. I know some have closed just like the ones down by cincy. My fiancee agrees though - bobs is better if you can get to one someday
