So glad you did make this video. I was just online looking for my original creme of nature color I’ve used for years. Couldn’t find the original box either. So happy I didn’t grab anything. I have a subscription with creme of nature I’m about to ask them what’s up before I commit to this new dye system.
I'm glad you made this video I ran and grabbed my box just to make sure. But I always go by the woman on the box to make sure I get the right color but this will have me watching more closely ! Thank you!!

What color did your hair come out to be; if you don't mind me asking. I'm thinking of using the one in the orange box , light golden blonde color& my natural hair is a very dark brown color& I was wondering would it lighten it to blonde or like a dark brown

I am literally sitting on my bed with these exact TWO boxes getting ready to dye my hair 😫😫 I was going to watch ONE MORE video before I actually attempted, just to make sure I got it and I noticed the difference in the developers && I saw your video and clicked it‼️ I knew it was a bad idea because it just wasn’t what the young lady used in her video but like you said the guy in the store must have just wanted a sale because he told me they were the same 😫 and I thought nothing of it because to me they looked like the same color🤦🏽♀️ back to the hair store I go! thanks for this! cus awhile ago i stood in the store comparing 10.0 vs C41 for a hot minute, thinking it was old vs. new (or just argan oil vs. shea butter), so i wasn’t sure bout the way the colors showed on the women on the boxes lol. it’s also hard to compare online cus the swatches are pretty close. lol this is the video i needed to complete my research.🙏🏾
I did not know that lol and that makes sense. So basically I’ve been using the wrong dye lol. Literally only my roots dye :(((( but not my ends. Thank you I’m going to try again.

Yes this is true ive been coloring my hair with the orange box since 2019; first I used the Honey Blonde formula which gave me exact results, then 6 months later I dyed my hair with the light golden blonde C.42 exact results, in 2020 I went darker but decided to go back blonde 6 moths later and used the red box 9.23, however I did get the results on the box I noticed a difference in the blondes, I went back to using the orange box and their is now a line, my ends are lighter (red box) but still a golden blonde just a different tonal of blonde then my roots, which are more Bronze (orange box) the directions tell you to refresh after a certain amount of time but I dont do that because to me its too damaging, for me they both give exact results just 2 different versions I dont mind either color but I prefer the orange box formula better, the smell is less chemically and gentler.
Also too add everyones hair different we have different undertones so someone like me with virgin hair (no color) and golden/ash undertone gets exact results compared to someone who with maybe red undertones
Wait...I'm already confused that you were at the salon and they were having you use box dye?? They should have been mixing that dye themselves unless it was something you specifically asked for...That isn't priced that same as professional dye service, I hope.
I could not find the orange box anywhere and ended up getting the red box. Oh well I only need it for my roots and I'm going purple after. I used there orange box b4 in lightest blond and honey blonde.
A lot of times dye companies often change the box and model on the box to shake up sales a bit. But you are right that is not an old box it is a completely different line within that brand. It could be that one has more ammonia...one has no ammonia...one has more nutritious oils in it etc The fact that it is a different number it is a different shade even if the name is the same or similar! I think the company could have changed the name (even if slightly) to not confuse their customers!

BTW, my beauty supply store also does not have a creme of nature hair color chart either; and I brought the red box just today! Ok, the color was different but, is it still a good product?
Of course ! It is still great but this video is intended to help people who are only looking for the color the orange box is offering, not to make a mistake on selecting another by accident.
This color is truly a rare find. You may have to simply call around to see what beauty supply store carry it for you. For me, I get them from Beauty Island which is a local beauty supply for me ! If it comes down to it you may be better off just ordering it online.
I’m not sure if the one that says new is the “new” box per say, if you go onto the website the boxes shown are the red ones but you can also find the orange ones. The orange ones are new I think because it’s infused with Shea butter instead of argan oil like the red box
Hi thanks for the video. In Atl where I am the lighter box is to cover grey hair. The darker box does not. I know because I use the lighter box🙂 also like you said, the # of intensity is different too. Take care!

I just literally picked up that other box today....damn I wonder how much darker it's gonna be than what I'm expecting. I don't have either boxes in yet I'll be doing it new but was just wondering. Think I'm gonna try to find your original box though now that I know.
There is new on the C42 so he don't know what he saying, he needs to be working in the back stacking boxes if he gon be jacking up peoples beauty. Hi ! Nothing is wrong with the red box but people watching this video may want to know that although both boxes have similar names, they do not yield similar results.
Looool looking at the red box right now it's 7.23am Sunday in London UK, No store to purchase from till 11am... so I'm gonna have to work wid it Mmmm booster packet in box could be a risk to my previously lightened locs if it darkens, nah I reckon it will be ok as I have never used a booster to lighten 🤞🏾...

Recently I went back to dying my own hair. I noticed ALL Creme of Nature boxes were labeled 'permanent' 🤔before I was able to purchase semipermanent. However, the product works the same. I'm switching to professional hair store for hair color products. Everyone is changing their products nowadays.
The same thing happened to me and I didn’t understand why, because I used the same color. I didn’t pay any attention to the box color and I was just about to do it again. 🤦🏽♀️ 🙄Thank you for this video!!
This is true, that the samples at times can also be slightly skewed. But that can still help to guide you in a better, more realistic direction of your expectations to come than to just not have one at all 🤷🏽♀️
@@SamanthaPlease I dunno! I don’t trust them after several disappointments lol! But you’re probably right that the two dyes are still a little different. All those blonde box dyes tend to give a more orangey/auburn result and don’t start looking blonde until maybe the 2nd or 3rd time unless your hair is pre lightened. Bleach and toner seem to give better results for blonde (for me) but of course you have to be sooo careful with bleach (even though the “boosters” in box dyes are also bleach, maybe just less).
Hi ! This particular box dye is a box dye that also carries a “lightening powder pouch”. Optional if you would like to add it when doing your hair for high-resolution results, and this is a form of bleach. I do add it when coloring my hair with this box dye !
So what's the point. If is not the one u use. Why buy it. Honey is honey. But it comes in different consistency. And different brands. There something call, original or copy cat...????? Just like purses real or imitation. Just saying

Thanks I was about to buy the orange box on amazon but I cancelled it was pending for weeks they never ship everything happens for a reason. I always look on the box the different kind of colour results you may have show
If you want a darker color, the red box is more brown I’d say. But if your goal is not “blonde” ultimately, both of these might not be what your looking for. I think the brand has lots of other great color options though, and I also do think hair will come out either way but still a good dye.
